Overall, this has been a great baseball postseason, IMO, at least.
If they want to can him the Cubs would be glad to take him.
I bet Lynn gets it regardless of what happened in this series.
I called the win by Zito, too many people were laughing at him.
1-0 SF in the 2nd. I still bet STL will pull it out though.
Uh in 7 probably. ;d
Sweet. Now I won't have to endure the Red Hampshire media slobbering all over him for the next few days.
Carpenter pulled after 76 pitches .. conceivable he could go on THUR short rest and give LYnn one start (game 4).
VOgelsong (102 after 7 inn) very unlikely on THUR, so either he or McCain goes in game 4 ... getting only 1 start.
stunned to see Bumgarner scheduled for game 2 (and game 6). Only one start for Cain and none for Lincecum. (I was hoping for Vogelsong on short rest.)
Cain could pitch a few innings in game 7 and Lincecum could start game 6.
Timmy lost his 1 start and has been good in the pen so they’ll leave him there.
I am very surprised they’d rather have Vogelsong pitch a game 7 than Cain.
bumgarner
who’da thunk it? A great performance.
McCain in relief in game 7.
not impressed with Leyland use of pen.
who the DH for SF? sandoval?
They are reporting Hector Sanchez the backup catcher is likely to get the nod at least in game 3.
I don’t like, I’d put the Panda at DH and the better defender Arias at 3B.
Other options, A. Huff (no, I didn’t know he was on the roster), X. Nady, or our old Cubs pal Ryan the riot. I’d go with the riot over the others.
boring
beisbol is boring
where was Benoit? Coke really ain’t good vs. righties and they let Scutaro beat him.
Phil Coke, more like Phil Pepsi!
I couldn’t be happier with the way Detroit lost. Well maybe if Verlander could have lost his 4th WS game. Though the shot of him sitting there knowing he wasn’t getting another chance warmed my heart. Felt sorry for a couple players though, Austin Jackson looked he was gonna burst into tears when he K’ed in the 10th.
Do you make anything of the days off they had hurting the offense? That happened in 2006 as well, both times they swept the ALCS while the NLCS went 7.
Hard to pick an MVP, Panda got it for the 3 HRs in game 1.
“Phil Pepsi!”
WOW!!!
Tip the cap to the Giants...like their namesake in football, they got on a hot-streak that won them a championship.
I did want to see Detroit win though. Oh well.
