The shell casing information, if true, is very interesting.

As for the body being 30' from her car - you may remember that one story said he ran away from her car after being shot, and then collapsed and died.

And the cars were a distance apart. He pulled in first, near the car wash. She followed, but stopped about 120' behind him near the back of the lot.

My position all along has been to wait for facts to come in.

I don't remember any witness saying that.

Can you show me where that is???

The best reporter of facts from the scene thus far has been this "estban" commenter from the Chronicle some of whose posts I have published here. He appears to be quite level headed and credible and his posts can be easily accessed for anybody who wants them.

It doesn't justify shooting him, but I'm finding out a bit more about Jonathan Ayers' past.

Ayers' 1/13/11 arrest for pot possession came when the police were arresting him for outstanding priors. They found the drug on him during his arrest:

"Jonathan M. Ables, 21, of Tomball, was arrested on a charge of possession of marijuana. Police say they found the drug while search Ables during his arrest on outstanding warrants."

We don't know what those priors were, but they weren't the 2008 pot possession arrest, because that already already been handled.

He's an anonymous poster on the internet. He may be right. Let's wait until we hear from the eyewitnesses.

I don't remember any witness saying that. Can you show me where that is???

It wasn't a quote by a witness. It was just part of the story. When I run across it again, I'll post it for you - but I'm not spending an hour or so looking for it now.

<> outstanding warrants.<>

I wonder why those outstanding warrants and what they were for did not appear on his record:

It wasn't a quote by a witness. It was just part of the story.

So then it didn't come from a witness. Never mind then. Stories are a dime a dozen.

From the story: "Scott grabbed a pistol and fired, striking the man in the chest."

Until now, I believed that. Unfortunately, that's just part of the posted story. The story doesn't quote a witness to back up those facts - it's just part of the story. Under your analysis, stories are just a dime a dozen, so those 'facts' don't count.

We're back to square one under your analysis. All facts about the pistol, and the late Mr. Abels being shot in the chest have to be thrown out, at least under the way you say we have to analyze mere stories that 'don't come from a witness.'

I'll be back on these threads when facts are gathered so we can analyze them. I apologize to all for arguing on the internet.

Enjoy yourself until then.

Ohhh so you think that we should throw out the baby with the bathwater just because you couldn't find this statement of yours anywhere in any story:

As for the body being 30' from her car - you may remember that one story said he ran away from her car after being shot, and then collapsed and died. Post #61]

It was pure BS wasn't it??? It appears nowhere in any article anywhere, right???.

But please by all means throw your little hissy fit to cover for your prefabrication.

My position all along has been to wait for facts to come in.

Except when you can make them up, right???

I found this online:

Petitioning Houston Police Department and the Texas State Attorney’s Office Houston Police Department and the Texas State Attorney’s Office: Immediately arrest Crystal Scott with murder in the death of Jonathan Ables

Jonathan Ables died in the parking lot of a Shell Station over a fender bender. Witness accounts show that Jonathan was possibly trying to get Scott’s insurance information when she shot him from the inside of her car. Why does she get a grand jury, but another high profile self defense claim gets charged with Murder in the 2nd Degree? We demand that Crystal Scott immediately be jailed and charged in Jonathan’s death. Every minute she walks free is an injustice.

The case needs to go to trial. Too much media spin for us to determine what kind of threat she was under when he approached her car, if any.

There is no comparison between the circumstances of this case and the Zimmerman case. Martin did aggressively approach and circle Zimmerman while he was in his car in a threatening manner as Z was talking to the cops, but he did not feel his life was in danger because he was in his car and did not see St. Skittles carrying a weapon.

Had he shot him from inside his car, especially if Martin was unarmed, I would not support that as a case of self defense unless a witness claimed and explained that he had no choice.

Texans don’t generally do moral relativity too well. The grand jury will be looking at the facts concerning the claim of self defense in this case, separate from the Zimmerman case. They are not at all the same.

There are at least two noteworthy similarities...a dead person of a race different from the shooter.I know very little about this case and not much more about the Zimmerman case.As I've said about this case....DNA,fingerprints,ballistics,videos/photos,*reliable* eyewitnesses (meaning no friends or relatives).Lacking those (or,perhaps,in addition to those) look at the history of both.See if one (or both) have a "dirty" past (drugs, booze, criminal record, history of violence, psych history, etc).

Actually, I know a lot more about the Zimmerman case from the evidence released so far. I know nothing about this case other than what the media has spun.

Race has nothing to do with it unless the shooter is a racist and shot him because he’s white. Wonder if Holder will send in a posse of race baiters from the FBI to comb through her past like they did to Zimmerman. That’s a joke.

The only place with updates on this case thus far is this Facebook page:

http://www.facebook.com/JusticeForJonathanAbles

Apparently the case will be handed over to the Harris County Sheriffs Department as it occurred outside of Houston City limits.

Hopefully the HCSD will ask the questions that the HPD failed to ask and pay attention to the witnesses and the two bullets she apparently pumped into his chest 35 feet from her car that the HPD and the media apparently did not pay much attention to.

<>There are at least two noteworthy similarities...<>

and one ironic connection. This is her pastor who she had on speed dial and was on the scene for her with a lawyer in minutes:

http://www.prweb.com/releases/2012/3/prweb9318779.htm

“Bishop James Dixon travels to Sanford, Florida to join other social justice advocates including Rev. Al Sharpton of National Action Network, Marc Morial of the National Urban League and NAACP leaders. The purpose is to protest the killing of 17 year old Trayvon Martin. He was an unarmed youth who was gunned down by a Neighborhood Watch leader named George Zimmerman.

“Upon returning to Houston, Bishop Dixon will be sharing with leaders across Texas how they can lend their voices to the cause of justice and show their support for Trayvon Martin’s family. He will also hold a meeting with African-American youth to help soothe the growing anxiety stemming from their fear of police.

“Bishop Dixon recently introduced a new campaign to area leaders, Be Your Brother’s Keeper, Not Your Brother’s Killer. The purpose is to promote the concept of brotherhood within and across lines of race, and to discourage violence by promoting the sanctity of human life.”

Oh the irony.

Video tape of the story that I missed:

http://www.click2houston.com/news/HCSO-Road-rage-ends-with-fatal-shooting-outside-gas-station/-/1735978/16630058/-/11oktmlz/-/index.html

Note the paper bags on his passenger’s hands. That was done to preserve evidence as if the police thought that he had been banging on her window because they didn’t find any evidence of glass on Jonathan Ables’ hands.

And then the story on this CHL forum posted by 4 angels and the pathetic responses:

http://www.texaschlforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=108&t=58252&start=165#p723559

“The story your not hearing.

Crystal Scott turned onto 1960 almost causing an Accident with Jonathan Ables. He had to merge lanes not to hit her. Then returned to the slow lane where he need to be to pull in the gas station to get gas to make it to work.

Crystal was offended by this action and went around Jonathan and cut him off as well as “brake checked him”. Jonathan almost rear ended crystal at that point. He moved to the center lane and tried to drive around her at that point Crystal used her car as a weapon and side swiped Jonathan truck causing an accident.Crystal came into Jonathans lane and hit him with her car. Crystal sped up after the contact with Jonathan, He sped up also to catch her, then got in front of her and made her slow down to 35 mph. and turned into the gas station.{ where he was going to get gas to begin with}

Jonathan got out of his truck and approached Crystal car. when he reached the front tire, drivers side mirror area, she shot twice the first shot missed him and almost hit a by stander 15 feet away, the second shot hit Jonathan in the chest killing him.

If you look at the bullet holes in the car window you can clearly see no man is tall enough to reach the door handle from that point. Jonathan was 5’10”. if he would have bent over to grab the door handle from where he was standing the bullets would have went over his back.

Crystal Scott was ticketed for the road rage. She had also gone to jail on Sept.6,2012 for other road violations and in July was arrested for evading arrest.

There were no marks found on Jonathans hands... “ there was not a scratch on that boys hands” funeral home director.

You want to know why Crystal was not arrested look towards politics, you will clearly see whats going on.”

According to one commenter on the site the Harris County Sheriff went weakneed on the case because he needed the votes of the black community to remain in office.

Thank you. I remember seeing his passenger’s bagged hands. If she shot twice, she had to get out of her car. It looked like the first went through the windshield and that’s the one that missed and hit the car of the man pumping gas. For her to get out of her car and shoot him, IMHO, with people around, was reckless. I noticed that from the pics only his car looked damaged despite her attorney Leticia Quinones stating from the scene that ‘Ables wrecked her car’.

IMHO, his family is making a big mistake by being silenced. These days if you want actual Justice instead of PC-justice, you need to speak out and keep speaking out. I want to see the evidence. Damn shame the Media isn’t doing their job. The public has a right to know why the County isn’t charging her.
