I've been a part of FreeRepublic for a long time but recently joined a website where both Conservatives and liberals exchange ideas and opinions. When I joined this website, I did so with an open mind and what a freaking mistake that was.
First off...there are very few Conservatives and way too many liberals on this website. There is a code of honor when posting on this website and those who break it are punished through temporary suspension to complete banishment from the website. Well, let me tell you that the liberals get away with code of honor violations way more than the Conservatives.
I stick around this website because I actually enjoy being the minority and sticking it to the liberal pieces of $hit every chance I get! The strange thing about this is that joining this website, I was hoping to find a middle ground with liberals. Boy what a big mistake that was! You can't find a middle ground with these ba$tard$! The anti-Christian, anti-Jewish, anti-American, anti-military and anti-Romney went way too far causing me to no longer hold my tongue.
My breaking point came when these liberals actually called for the arrest and prosecution of the creator of the anti-muslim video that has been out since July. These are the same dirty liberals who supported the right to submerge a crucifix in urine and call it art. These are the same liberal garbage that blast Romney for daring to be successful while never saying a peep about the Kennedy wealth or the increased wealth of obama while in office. These are the same liberal trash who attacked Sarah Palin and her children but faked outrage when Sandra Fluke was attacked.
I don't trust our media. The blatant support for obama from out media makes me feel like I live in a third world country where all news is released only after the government has approved it.
I am so ready for a Romney win and I am so ready to slap down these leftist rabid dogs like they deserve. They are not capable of compromise. They are not willing to reach across the aisle towards Republicans, but they have no problem putting on a set of knee pads for muslim radicals.
There is no middle ground with liberals. There is no compromise with liberals. Now that I've learned that lesson...I will work hard to make sure obama does not see a second term in office.
Thank you FreeRepublic for allowing me to voice my frustration and anger.

Conservatives believe liberals are simply wrong.
Liberals believe Conservatives are evil.
This is no limit to stopping evil which is why they act and say as they do.
It’s not hard to understand.
You can’t compromise with them any more than you can compromise with cancer; both must be rooted-out and destroyed to the last cell.
A lesson we all learn in time.

You just figured it out? I’ve said it for the past many years that we cannot co-exist with these liberal pukes. They have to “go”. Heck, I pray every night that the revolution would start so I can get payback for what they did to the country.
Very late to the party. I guess I’m just too soft for holding out hope that liberals are capable of adult compromise. But that was then....this is now. I no longer believe that we can work with liberals to make this country strong again.

Indeed it does chickadee. I joined with good intentions...I now stick around to be a thorn in their side! I know I am succeeding when they collectively turn rabid and insult my looks.

I was an admin on a “non-partisan” site 5-6 years ago.
A friend of mine started it and wanted me to write for him and help build the community.
I lasted less than 4-5 months for about the same reason.
You cannot reason with people that exhibit none. I can’t even recall the final strike but there were trends that I just got sick of and quit. They were the same that you describe.
I like to think that a person can be sane and reasonable. That it’s only when the congregate and become “people” that they become unreasonable, paranoid and panicky animals.
With liberals, they just don’t know reason. They only know hate, bile, projection and suffer from having no logical cause/effect judgement.
The 18 year old version of me would hate me for saying this as the 40 something version of me but honestly I think it’s because they know no love in their heart for God. When I was young after having seen communist Eastern Europe first hand I knew where communism and socialism ultimately led. I thought reason and experience alone would illustrate the folly of the concept because 70 years and millions dead surely proved the point that things don’t work that way in the real world.
What did communism try and erase? God. What did that create? A society built on fear, conformity and the destruction of the human spirit.
What do we see from liberals? Same thing. You fear to speak out, you fear to be different, you conform to incredibly dangerous beliefs not in your mind but your day to day living (By not speaking out, by not being a voice of opposition.) and with the desire to punish success/wealth you destroy the human spirit that yearns to achieve, to be more than you are today or the life you were born into.

You’ve probably been debating with only about a dozen liberals with multiple accounts on the web site. You really can’t have any honest debate with liberals because they always bring their own set of made up delusional “facts”.

You are right. I found myself capitulating on my beliefs for the sake of compromise and still that wasn’t enough. I was still garbage in their eyes and not worthy of respect. I refuse to tolerate that and am now letting it rip!

Some of the greatest people I know survived eastern Europe under the iron curtain because they kept a strong, but silent faith in God.
Now, its not a problem for me, because being a conservative, my politics is not MY LIFE, so I dont have to discuss it, or relate every little thing that happens to politics. But they do, or at least some of them do.
The closer we get to the elections, the more this will be the case, and at this time, it truly pains me to be around them, as much as I love them all.
The best I can do is try to deflect the conversations, or take them in a direction we both agree in (crony capitalism is bad, etc, blah blah)..
I have gotten to the point where no matter what outrage or idiocy I hear on their part, I won't say anything. Its just not worth it, especially if my parents are around. One on one though, some of them do listen, but in a group, forget it. Liberals are bullies, its their nature.
I have a liberal friend that will at least engage without getting insulting (mostly, I’ve had to train him on that - we’re old friends). When it comes to general capability and professionalism he does well, by no means “a stupid guy”. Yet I can’t but wonder how on earth you can be “not stupid” and then be so completely clueless in understanding the world around them, or human nature for that matter. He’ll spout off liberal talking points, then accuse Fox News of bias. He doesn’t believe there’s “liberal bias” in the news. You can point to specifics, it just doesn’t matter.
I sometimes debate him just to analyze how he must come to his conclusions, you inevitably get to a point where you just think - he’s insane! I could state that water is wet, I’m sure he’d argue. He says he agrees with Christian philosophy, yet sees no difference in comparison to Islam. To him, Islam is just what Muslims claim, that Mohammed was the “next prophet” after Christ. You can discuss philosophical points, the Ottoman Empire, the crusades, inquisition, life of Mohammed, etc. etc. ....he’ll just say, “yeah, so all religions have their radical elements”.
That’s the conclusion you come to? Yet the Islamic world is a barbaric $hit hole and western society prospered? ...no, there’s no difference at all ;)
It’s almost as though he does see the light, he just doesn’t want to. As though he’s trying to shield himself from it. He’d rather it didn’t exist because to admit that it did would mean he’d have to fundamentally question everything he believes.
Last time I asked if he believed in “truth”. An absolute, regardless of whether we realize it, truth. He says no. This is their other problem, there’s no concrete truths. Everything is just morally relative. Literally, 1+1 may not equal 2.
Thing is, they’ll tell you - they became a liberal because liberals are “open minded”. I’ve begun to realize those are the most two dangerous words in the world. You can be infinitely open minded about any bizarre concept, but it creates a fog through which you can no longer see the truth. Being open to all alternatives only leads to the truth being a very small part of your perception....to the point where people don’t see it at all. That’s a neat trick. Those that want to live in the dark ultimately want others to also exist there with them. ...the deceit goes on.

I was driving through my town to pick up lunch and I saw one of my patriot Marine friends coming out of a local diner in his electric scooter(he had a stroke). On the way back I noticed him in front of his house so I stopped to chat. This neighbor has done 3 tours in Vietnam and has 2 sons in the field right now. He was shaking mad at some idiot at his breakfast get together who apparently likes “Obama”. He asked me to get a HUGE Romney sign for his front yard LOL!! He was fired up. We now have 3 Obama signs in our neighborhood and everyone I talk to is pizzed at the idiots that live in our midst.
I agree about liberals being evil. Just watching them literally dance on the bodies of dead babies and the idea of no God at the DNC convention confirmed my belief that no one can stand with Obama without having blood on their hands. There is no excuse for ignorance of facts.
