You’re right. It’s just weird without Coach Payton.

Oh, well... :-/

I knew what you meant. I hate my typos on here—there’s no correcting them.

Gads! I was glad that little musical piece ended! It was shrill!

Ethel Merman had problems with tone IMO.

Yes. Her tone was a tad on the pebble-in-the-shoe-feeling or fingernails/blackboard side.

This is very similar to the story (I think it was suspense) where the woman was trying to save her husband from the electric chair, but the entire show is over the phone. The actress even sounds the same. Do you remember that one?

Yes! Was it, “Sorry, Wrong Number” with Barbara Stanwyck (sp? maybe)? She was an invalid. It was creepy with someone stalking her!

In Sorry Wrong Number Ray Milland wasn't on death row. He was a free man trying to kill Stanwick, his wife, for some money.

Funny, memory jogged, I think there was an otr based on sorry wrong number, but without stanwyck.

Then there was another where the entire story was over the phone, women trying to save her husband from death. It may have taken place in real time...for 30 minutes.

And then there was tonight's show...

Lot's of women trying to save their husbands over the phone plots apparently.

Yes, but I believe Sorry, Wrong Number is the episode Vision was bringing to memory--something very similar to tonight's Suspense.

Vision, I do remember the episode you're talking about, and like Chunga said, it's different than the Sorry, Wrong Number episode. But, I know the death row one you mean, just can't bring it to remembrance.

Vision, we don’t have a lineup posted for today on WAMU’s website! What an oversight!
