Nothing in this world like a natural woman who has not been enhanced. These plastic women of today suck!

In 1980 I bought a Datsun from an old black lady. For some reason she mentioned that she had worked at an ammunition factory in the war. I asked what she did. She said she loaded 45 ball, then 30-06 tracer, and finally 37mm HE.

Seeing those machines in "new" condition is fascinating!

The shop where I was a machinist had rooms full of those wartime machines that we used making aircraft parts. They all had a tag or casting that said something about how they conformed to War Production Board finish. I guess they didn't have to polish up the exterior parts during the war, only the ways and beds and working parts. Those machines still held tolerance and cranked out the parts. One of the turret lathes in a picture looks like one I ran.

That piece she’s cutting off is going to smash someone’s fingers or land on a foot.

But you can't see with a glass eye. Wear your safety glasses

Those elegant Gerstner craftsman-style tool chests have a mirror mounted on the underside of the lid. Orignally these were for emergency use in removing metal chips from the owner's eye. That happened to my Dad when he worked in the Rock Island shops in the 1920s.
