Canadians have been flocking to a Costco in Bellingham, Wash., propelled by a strong Canadian dollar and lured by the lower cost of basics like milk and gas in the United States.
An unhappy U.S. shopper, bothered by the lines and crowds, responded by creating the Facebook page "Bellingham Costco needs a special time just for Americans." As online dust-ups often do, this one has gotten out of hand, with some making rude and stereotypical remarks about Canadians. Since its debut on July 19, the page has gotten more than 3,330 likes.

I wonder how many of these anti-Canadians said they would be moving to Canada if George Bush or John McCain were elected president.
My in-laws used to live in Buffalo and they would complain about the Canadians shopping at their local stores. They said they were rude and would just throw trash in the parking lots so they wouldn’t take it across the border. My main experience with Canadians has been in Montreal. They were extremely rude, but I figured it was the French-Canadian thing.
That being said, I know some Canadians from college and they all thought Americans were self-centered and didn’t know about anything going on in the world.
Which, frankly, is a pretty right on assessment.
A pretty racist and intollerant attitude by our progressive friends in the great NW.
Where I live in every 2-3 weeks I get out of work or wake up with the eye watering smell of cow manure in the air. When I first got here I complained bitterly about the odor until one of my farmer patient’s asked me what I smelled.
“Cow manure” I replied “ What do you smell”
He smiled at me and with a grin said “ Boy, that’s the smell of money”
To our Washington neighbors, the next time you wait in line with Canadians spending money by the dozens in front of you, take a good whiff.
I am wondering that now that we have Obembacare, where are Canadian politicianss going to go for their medical care?
I wonder how all those Canadians coming across the border for cheaper stuff would feel if they didn’t share a border with the US?
My reaction, as well. Plenty of customers keeps the store open, the need for employees higher, etc., etc. Just sensible economics. That said, some liberal group will likely find a way to get rid of the Canadian shoppers.
geez people are getting stupider and stupider..
OPEN ANOTHER STORE!!!!!
Sounds like a buisness opportunity to me
So...essentially these idiots are trying to limit the time and money Canadians legally spend in the US - while apparently not caring at all about the illegals from the Southern border who are up here stealing jobs....
This is why it should be legal for me to walk down the streets of Seattle randomly slapping people across the face.
Well I guess free health care in Canada isnt really free. Middle class if they dont have a employer provided plan pay about $600.00 a month for free healthcare in Canada. Of course the poor pay $0 per month. Then of course you need just a few taxes to pay for this free healthcare that takes months to get an appointment. Like the GST/HST (Goods and services tax, Harmonized sales tax) are as high as 15% in some providences. Dont forget the business has to support the minimum wage of $9.40 to $10.30. Hey somebody has to support all that free stuff. The high prices really arent the government s fault just ask Ken Georgetti, the president of the Canadian Labour Congress, which represents unions nationwide, accused retailers of “greed, gouging, and bad citizenship.”
The only ‘color’ important in this story is GREEN.
Canadians have money they want to spend at Costco - and Americans who want to spend their money don't want to have to wait in line to do it.
like i taught my kids ( and you can ask ‘em and they will tell you )
never discriminate against anyone based upon race, sex, religion, creed or color.....
except canadians.....
i do have to give the canidiots one point though... they got some damn nice roads ( here in michiganstan our roads are about the worst in the nation )..
I can imagine the reaction of Costco Executives when some manager walks in an suggest that idea...
(”Say, boss this place is crowded with customers... Let’s set aside a special time when we will only let in FEWER people, OK?”)
They're worse in Milwaukee.
Have you learned nothing from the EmocRats? Everything is about race.
