Refresh my memory, is India a single-payer system?
I doubt that we will see such atrocities stateside.
After 0bama care I'm sure there would be extensive efforts put into determining whether the baby is worth the 3 dollars or not first.
Muslims or not?
Ahh, the third world... Where the Hippocratic Oath means nothing.
Sorry China and India, I know you like to play like first world countries, but I know better.
Special place in hell for the person who decided to unplug the machine.
There is undoubtedly another side of the story. How premature was the newborn? If she was born in the early second trimester, she could have been too small to survive. The incubator may have kept her comfortable, but would not extend her opportunity to live if she were severely premature.
Obamacare in microcosm
Nothing to see....move along.
What makes you think it means anything in the United States?
The Hippocratic Oath prohibits abortion, yet this is the most common surgical procedure in the US with one performed every 24 seconds.
Situations like this are already happening in the U.S. and it has nothing to do with Obamacare. The system is broken. Obama care will only make it worse.

India DOES NOT have a universal health care system yet..they just implemented a small drug program covering generics for all citizens but that is it. They do want a UHCS by 2020.

The problem is that those laws are fundamentally unfair and represent an unconstitutional "government taking" from private providers for which they are not compensated. Not only is it an unconstitutional taking it forces the next sick person to pay extra.
Instead of the general tax payor taking on the burden of the indigent, it's the other sick people who are forced to pay more for their care. It's both unconstitutional and completely unfair.
In this respect, Obamacare may actually rectify this problem. I hate the way Obamacare was rushed through Congress by the most undemocrat means ever. I hate the potential in Obamacare for everything to be governmentalized and socialized. I hate the idea of a government mandate.
Yet we do need to find a solution to the above problem.
As many Americans die from abortion each year as die from all forms of cancer, heart disease, respiratory disease and strokes COMBINED.
More Americans die from abortion each year than have died in ALL of the wars America has fought COMBINED.
More Americans die from abortion each day than died in the terrorist attacks of 9/11/01.
A newborn baby girl died in Indias northern Punjab state after doctors removed her from an incubator that her parents couldnt afford.
Americans are stuck paying for many people who can not afford medical care. I find it interesting that the parents thought they could get it for free...nothing is free in this World. Couldn’t they get a loan or something? I am so sick of free loaders.....
Pro-Life Ping
Is it a pro-life thing or is it irresponsible parents not willing to pay for their child? It is so difficult to have both. Either we pay for everyones medical care or we don’t.
WB, this topic alone should be obvious to any American, but many choose to ignore it. It DOES show the shape this (that, in my case) country is in.
(Another topic.. sorry about not making the PING I mentioned to you before.. finally got Photoshop working on Linux last night.. closed it to see if I could re-open it.. got an error, something like ‘hardware failure’.. and now I can’t boot my main PC :/ ... am on my laptop now, (Linux also >.<).. Will break down my main tomorrow and see if I can get it working again :^] .. and If I can, will have another HD with Windows on it again.)
