Battered GOP Voter Syndrome
RWWN ^ | 8/7/2012 | John Alan

“Ok so he cheats on you and mistreats you, do you really want to raise the kids on your own?”

'Battered GOP voter syndrome' is exactly the same. “Yeah the GOP's candidate ran to the left of Ted Kennedy, signed socialized medicine into law and proclaimed his views to be progressive, do you really want to cause the destruction of the entire planet by allowing Obama to be reelected?”

A compromise between good and evil means evil wins. The GOP has been compromising for so long that we now have an unsustainable dependent class. Any move to “do the right thing” now will be met with riots and anarchy. And, believe it or not, there are people on this very site who still want me to vote for Romney.

Dumb analogy for so many reasons. Not the least being, a battered woman has a whole world of alternatives, we have only Romney or Obama. The truth is attacking Romney at this point is just shilling for Obama.

Romney being the nominee is the failure of the conservatives, not the success of his campaign.

Sort of like trying to make a good omelette with one rotten egg.

That article is SPOT on. 8 years of Romney is worse than 4 years of Obama. We can fight the later. The former will end Conservatism forever.

I will never, ever vote for Hussein, but you can’t drag me into the voting booth to vote for the man that would kill Conservatism. And those that think that Obama’s re-election means Satan rules on Earth .. well . . .Karl Rove just LOVES you.

Obama, or Romney. The marxist muslim, or the liberal mormon.

These are the choices. There will be no miracle at the RNC. Romney is going to be the nominee. Come November, the winner will be Romney, or Obama. Support the significant lesser of the two evils, or be an enabler of the far greater of the two evils. Those are our choices.

Frankly I'm sick of all the complete idiots here who think 4 or 8 years of Romney will be worse than 4 more years of Obama. It's like they haven't noticed anything that has happened during the last 3 years.

Not voting in this election will just make Obama's chances of a second term that much more likely. And 4 more years of Obama will be the death of America.

Your response is itself symptomatic. You only *think* you have two options, just as the battered woman thinks she only has one.

We simply cannot have 4 more years of Obama. You never know if Obama would simply ignore the Constitution and a start a police state. That risk doesn’t exist with Romney.

I’m for Romney because I don’t want to see the death of America with Obama. 4 more years means he has nothing left to lose and you never know if him and his minions would simply go against the Constitution on everything and start a police state. His narcissism could bring that about.

“Obama, or Romney. The marxist muslim, or the liberal mormon.”

Odd that neither of your options support the advancement of Conservatism. Eh?

Don’t worry, Romney will win...and I’ll still have my self respect. People like me are a tiny minority, strict-constructionist conservatives, and we’ve already accepted defeat.

“The former will end Conservatism forever.”

The answer is to pack the Senate and the House with conservatives who will make the President play ball. He only signs the stuff that comes to him. If he doesn’t they need to override him.

It's not odd at all.

That's what happens when you demand an absolutely perfect, flawless candidate. You get the absolute worst, most flawed candidate.

"Conservatives" trashed and dumped Cain, Perry, Bachmann, Santorum, and Gingrich because of one or two mistakes they made or flaws that they had. And now we get Romney.
