Good morning everybody! I hope you've had a peaceful and productive week.
Last week I posted photos of my cowpea patch and it has changed drastically since. Not only did they blossom, I have pea pods that are already 5" long! We will be picking before too long.
Thanks to all who posted photos last week. It was a beautiful thread.
Looking forward to reading your comments about what is happening in your neck o' the woods.

Pretty darn dry and hot here in NE Texas! Tomatoes are struggling.
Got my first Datil peppers starting to come out. Good size but they haven’t turned color yet. Can’t wait to try one. I have so many Ghost peppers now I tried selling some to a local sub shop but they refused citing liability issues.
Hopefully some of the folks I sent seed to are starting to get results. They are a bugger to get going but one they are established they grow like weeds with a massive thirst.
Alas...I have lost my home, and thus my garden as well.
But I will start some potted herbs on my apartment balcony.
Gotta get my hands DIRTY again.
What?!?!?
That's for sure. I've lost my back garden. My side garden has 50% shade cloth over it, and it's struggling. We need rain, and a break in the 100F + temps.

Any idea if I can replant my puny onions for a fall harvest? Maters are starting to turn, finally, and hot peppers are jamming. I see many pints of hot pepper butter in my near future!
Just the state of Obamaland, me an millions of other hard working tax paying Americans. It is what it is. (short sale of a distressed underwater property and impoverished widow thrown out to make way for foreign investors to “fix and flip”.)
Atlas is shrugging big time.
I am at peace though. I am trusting in the Almighty to keep me sane.
And at least now the roof over my head doesn’t leak.
I don’t see why you can’t replant them. It is certainly worth the try! Hope you have better luck the second time around. :)

And I will have something to post in a few months regarding my little herb garden :-)!
Good year for tomatoes where we are. Brandywines look great. Ours are getting large (both plants and fruit)but still green. We’re trying Black Pearl cherry tomatoes and Black Krim. We’ve harvested a couple of “Better Bush”. Our snow peas are doing very well and I’ve frozen some. Zucchini hasn’t done so well. We got just two or three before they died off. Harvested onions and garlic and more onions have been planted. Tried potatoes for the first time and we have been enjoying those! YUM! We thwarted the bunny and will have green beans. FINALLY!
We have made a lot of mistakes, but we’re learning as we go!
After a hot and very dry start to summer complete wit forest fires we are now getting rain almost every day. My potatoes look much better than tubebender’s blighted potatoes!
That rain sure sounds great for your area! Wish a shower or two would pass over my small raised bed Tomato patch.I keep forgetting that a raised bed needs frequent watering.
