The FBI, the New York attorney general and the Tompkins County district attorney are investigating allegations that an Ithaca Police Department officer may have tipped off drug dealers about impending drug raids, according to Ithaca Mayor Svante Myrick.

As localities and municipalities are increasingly squeezed by financial pressures, look for police departments to become wholly-owned subsidiaries of organized crime and corruption.
An entitlement minded public sector when cut off from the lucre of the public tax money will respond by taking whatever is not nailed down - and looting wallets one taxpayer at a time. After all, they are entitled.
But first they'll take the bribe money that we put into drug dealers' pockets by hyperinflating drug profits and restricting them to criminal hands with our War On Drugs.
It would be racist not to let them know the cops are coming, right?
