Re your post 18, thanks for your comments. It is only because of personal circumstances that I am not back there in my “home territory,” if you will.
Right now, I live in Virginia, which, because of the infestation of liberal government workers and Beltway Bandits in the northern part of the State, is slowly creeping over to the Dark Side. Heck, George Allen may not be the next senator! Before, having secured the Republican nomination, he would be a shoo-in. But now...
Yes, you have the four seasons (as do I) but what makes it nice in Bama is that winter there is not brutal as it is in many states. I always thought of it as “pleasant.”
All in all, it’s a great place to live. Be thankful.
I heartily agree. Moved here in ‘93, first to Montgomery then further south except for a short stint in Panama city Beach. In many ways, Alabama is a great place to live.
