If I clocked Baldwin I’ll bet I’d be in jail before the swelling on his face started. ‘Filing a report’ led to what exactly? Am I to believe no cop can find him?

You can see Alec Baldwin in commercials joking about his past run-ins, like the one on the airplane, but he just doesn't learn, does he?
I hope he’s arrested for assault.
Maybe he can be a recurring character on Charlie "Winning" Sheen's new show.

I’m no fan of Baldwin, but if I had those press yahoos following me around everywhere, sticking lenses in my face, screaming questions, and generally acting like rampaging spastic chimps, I’d be more than a little tempted to go off on them myself.
WTF is it with these people? Someone gives them a camera and a press card and suddenly they think they have carte blanche to act like assholes?

I believe that his new girlfriend, future wife, was just a few paces behind him. I hope she’s taking careful notes for the future divorce. Good luck to them, she’s going to need it.
There is nothing in the article that says the photographers did any of the things you mentioned. Another photographer who witnessed the event said he stands outside the court every day waiting for a good picture. It's their livelihood. Nobody badgered Baldwin, nobody touched him. This is the third time he's assaulted a photographer, so it's not an isolated incident. He flies off the handle without any provocation. Under NY State Penal Law, Baldwin should be charged with assault, which he initiated when he struck the photographer, who hadn't touched him in any way. He had no grounds to strike the photographer, and the fact that the guy hadn't physically retaliated in any way to the attack, is even more justification for an assault charge on Baldwin.
First reaction was NOT, “Gee, how odd that Alec Baldwin is angrily attacking someone.”
Rather, my first reaction was, “You’d think a big-shot actor could afford a decent hair-dye job.” He looks like stuck his head in bucket of Carrot Top.
