The Marxist Agenda of the Obama Regime envelopes us, shutting out the light of Truth, much like the haboob envelopes the desert.

Genuflectimus non ad principem sed ad Principem Pacis!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

Nancy Pelosi and her water war on Central Valley Farmers will create a haboob at the first gust of wind. Everything is so dry out there the sheep in the fields look like they are wearing camo. Their coats match the dirt, and they are barely discernable from a distance. There is no telling what they are eating because there is no green in sight.

We saw acres and acres of dead orchards. Then, next to the dead orchards, there were acres and acres of flourishing orchards. IOW, one field had access to water and the other had none. I’d love to know the story of that. Is water divvied out according to campaign contribution?

But, the sheep were quite remarkable. You could barely make them out in the field, they were so dirty. They looked like rocks scattered across the landscape.

I know that the farmers (they call the “ranchers” in the west) were promised water from the great irrigation districts in the 1940’s. It doesn’t seem fair that they are deprived now. The landscape is green and lush where water is availble; it is dead and dusty where it is not.

I may have used up all my smarts this weekend dropping references to the French Revolution, Dante’s Inferno, the Treaty of Versailles, Calvin Coolidge, and a few others I can’t recall right now.

That kind of leaves me with “Beavis and Butthead”

This lady did not make it on her flight, she went to jail. She claims a TSA agent, and former co-worker, groped her illegally and she demonstrated to the supervisor. Seems what is legal for TSA to do to us cannot even be demonstrated to the supervisor. Haboobs were groped, she ended up in the hoosegow. Missed her own brother's funeral. I would sue. BTW, film of groping at link.

He’s a genuinely classy guy who could do the job of POTUS tomorrow. House member from 1993 to 2005. One year as Office of Management and Budget 05-06, one year as trade rep. 06-07 Senator elected in 2010.

Little known fact: he played Liberman, Edwards, and Obama in debate prep for presidential and vp debates.

He’s very solid on all the issues but not the most exciting.

And Rush once said his wife is a hoot.

I am a bit biased. I have friends who work for him and he never fails to send letters and or notes when something big happens and I’m on the Christmas card list.

I’m not going to lie. He’s not Mr. Excitement.

With that said he’s not going to put people to sleep during the debate. But he’s just not as exciting or novel as a lot of the names out thee. (Palin, Rand Paul, Paul Ryan, Bobby Jindal, etc) compared to these he is a boring white guy. But he’s not a cold fish or aloof or a drone.

Cloudy and a chance of very welcome rain here-

The haboob of the Obama spinners
Is constantly changing direction-
It encircles the vulnerable ‘rats
Who are in dire need of protection

With Axelrod and Holder’s antics
Fueling the political skinning,
Let’s remember it is only June-
So the fun is just beginning

If they keep using Nixon’s playbook
Enemies list and all that stuff-
Obscuring truth with the hot wind
Known as rhetoric won’t be enough...

Dave,

Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk.

Ti,

Probably that’s great dinner conversation. I believe Rush was speaking of a Congressional get together he went to back in the mid 1990’s. That and I asked Jane when I met her, but she didn’t say.

Dave again,

Antoher old reference I dropped a lot this weekend was Al Haig “I’m in charge here”

Jindal got his shot at the spotlight giving a rebuttal speech....he failed miserably.

Watching Portman on some vids showed he is polished and mature. I suspect that may well inspire American voters after four years of theO. Grown ups.

Wonder why Rush said hoot and not hot?

http://www.steynonline.com/5032/eutopia-limited

The European Union is, philosophically, a 1970s solution to a 1940s problem. Except that, in one of those jests the gods are fond of, it seems to be delivering the Continent into the very situation it was explicitly designed to prevent. The ‘tween-wars fascists sold themselves to their peoples by telling them that the world was run by a cabal of sinister foreign bankers. When the neo-nationalist Golden Dawn and the hard-left Syriza parties both reprised this line to such great effect in the recent Greek election, it had the additional merit, as Nixon liked to say, of being true. The euro has made the age-old conspiracy theories real: If you’re a Greek, your world is run by a cabal of sinister foreign bankers — the Germans and the other “northern Europeans” who control the European Central Bank, plus their chums at the IMF.

It requires a perverse genius to invent a mechanism designed to consign the horrors of the mid–20th century to the trash can of history that winds up delivering you to Mitteleuropa circa 1934.

Wow. He nailed it. 100%

Of course you also have that the Euro was designed to fail, as that failure would force further integration and a “United States of Europe” which was not politically possible pre-crisis.

Never let a crisis go to waste.

Order out of chaos

Manfuactured crisis —> reaction —> predetermined solution

seriously, what is the POINT of these threads? It is making FR virtually unreadable for me to have the nonstop bashing of Romney and the RIDICULOUS notion that Rubio couldn't be president because his parents weren't born here. The LUNACY is driving me nuts. Please tell me again how the % of people who feel this way while loud and visible on FR is really negligible in real life. i am BEGGING you! and someone on this thread referred to Virgil Goode as a SPOILER in VA?? are they INSANE? i live in this state and i barely know who he is and only because i am a politics junky. i could go up and down my street and up and down the pews in church in VA and guarantee people will have no earthly notion of who he is. Hell, his own DISTRICT prob doesn't even know he is running for president, they wouldn't even reelect him as rep!

I thought I felt that way about Guiliani - that I wouldn’t vote for him no matter what. But, at that time, I thought the worst I had seen was the inept Carter then the corrupt clinton. Now I’ve seen worse - far worse. By now, I would kiss guiliani on the mouth rather than allow my vote to be wasted in the upcoming election.
