Skip to comments.Military drone mistaken for ‘UFO’ along DC highways

A saucer-shaped object on a very wide flatbed truck had some people wondering if the government was moving a UFO in or near Washington, D.C., Wednesday night. The truck came south on I-270, then took the inner loop of the Capital Beltway from Montgomery County into Prince George's County.
When motorists snapped photos of the strange object and posted them on Twitter, some people became concerned enough to call local police. One man called 911 in Prince George's County because, he said, he was concerned about a relative who lived along the route.
Asked by a befuddled dispatcher what the object looked like, the caller replied hesitantly, " ah... a UFO. I mean, I don't really know. I don't see too many UFO's on a regular basis."
Well, it turns out the mysterious object on the truck cruising around the Beltway is capable of flight. It's an experimental, unmanned aircraft called an X-47B, according...

Now it’s ground-dwelling Tweety Drones...
I’m gonna be laughing about that for a long time. Thanks.
It’s an object. It was flying. It was unidentified. Ergo: a UFO.
Not at the time the picture that caused the ruckus was snapped.
There's a recording at the link of the 911 call of a concerned remote viewer.
My thoughts exactly. I was once a UFO when I lost control of a flat track motorcycle.
Hello 911? There’s a flying saucer trying to mate with an 18-wheeler on the freeway!
Asked by a befuddled dispatcher what the object looked like, the caller replied hesitantly, “ ah... a UFO. I mean, I don't really know. I don't see too many UFO’s on a regular basis.”
Dispatcher: “Is it, like, a martian thing?”
Thanks to UAVs our alien overlords can hide in plain sight now!
First, they had to invent the technology to hold it down.
In a few months, the trailer will deliver a beautiful little Winnebago hovercraft...
Dispatcher: Is it, like, a martian thing?
The caller should have replied:
“I don’t know, what’s a Martian’s thing look like?”
She barely restrained herself from continuing “...or did you pull this story out of Ur...”
Aliens hitching a ride? The list of things I've heard now contains everything!
That’s it! The whole drone thing...It’s a cover story.
Now I know where my discus landed. I got off a really good throw the other night, but RT 270? I could have wiped Gaithersburg off the map. Oh the horror of it all. There goes Roy’s Place (the best delicatessen in the area. Over 200 different deli sandwiches on real Rye Bread).
Everyone’s looking for ways to save on fuel costs.
9-1-1 call reporting “UFO” because it’s trending Twitter! LOL!
I heard one caller on a news clip tell the 9-1-1 dispatcher to go to Twitter and the dispatcher said something like “I can’t go on ‘Twitter’”. LOL
Somewhere today, there was a story about a guy who called 911 because he ordered 15 sandwiches from a deli and they put on too much turkey and not enough mayo.
The whole system’s gotta break down soon.
"Damn no. You ain't getting nothing out of me."
"Show him the picture, Ignignokt."
"He's a nerd, Err."
"He's a nerd, Err."
"I think he meant Uranus, Err. He's a nerd."
Resting on a flatbed truck qualifies as flying? Having an unclassified military designation qualifies as unidentified?
Object, well, I’ll give you that one.
Well this drone looks exactly like how everyone is conditioned to see an alien space craft.
Y'all know this means that UFOs exist, and the government expects them to be showing themselves openly in the near future - right?
Well it does, and no doubt about it. You know what kind of paperwork it takes to take the wings off of an X-47B and drive it around DC on an open flatbed where people can take pictures of it?
You don't think the military knew there would be a UFO flap from this?
Psyops ain't just a drainage ditch in the Bronx, ya know. This deliberately went out the way it did to create a meme, the only use of which is to have a cover story when those shiny disks start flitting around.
Which apparently is right soon now.
The X-47B is saucer shaped? News to me.
