A pack of hairless critters that has taken to a patch of woods just north of U.S. 183 and RM 1431 in Cedar Park has people in the area wondering if the creatures could be the legendary chupacabra. Authorities, however, are blaming the sightings on mangy coyotes.

What’s the chance of two ‘mangy’ coyotes hanging out together? ;>)

I’m surprised that in Texas one hasn’t been put on public display somewhere.

Well it would be interesting to have competition with the Round Rock Express just a few miles to the east of Cedar Park.

One Sunday morning last August here in Frisco, TX I was heading out to pick up some bagels and on the way out of our neighborhood, I noticed something sitting in the greenbelt area my first thought was "Chubacabra!" so I turned around and went home and grabbed my camera. These are a couple of images - he started to move away when he saw me. After seeing it in person, I conquer a seriously mangy coyote!

They look like that hairless Mexican dog breed. I can’t think of the proper name.

Looks like mangy coyotes in our area. The ones here are fat from all the feral cats.

We’d have to spackle them in used motor oil and nurse them for three months to verify, but I’m going with mangy coyotes.
Long legs, long snout, long big upright ears. And no collars.

I meant to tell y’all I was talking to a Game Warden the other day at work and he confirms LOTS of mountain lions.
All that clearing out the CoA is doing in that ‘water treatment plant’ AKA the Triple Play Sucking Hose at Bullick Hollow/620 is moving all sorts of everything deep into Volente. Foxes dead in the road is now a common sight.

Oh sure—one more thing to worry about!
We have so much building going on right now in Lakeway that I doubt there are any hanging around here—but one never knows!

That red thing is probably related to chupacabras. Or Krugman. It’s waiting for the ship, you can see it signaling.

I meant to tell yall I was talking to a Game Warden the other day at work and he confirms LOTS of mountain lions. We now have two TX P&W Game Wardens living within three miles of my home. I talked to one a month or so ago and they and the LVPD have a shoot on sight order for coyotes here. We are also overrun with the Pepe le Pew and new offspring. Fox are also plentiful here.
