"It is, I think very difficult to talk about the war dead and the fallen without invoking the word valor, without invoking the word heros. Why do I feel so uncomfortable about the word hero? I feel uncomfortable, about the word because it seems to me that it is so rhetorically proximate to justifications for more war. Um, and, I dont want to obviously desecrate or disrespect memory of anyone thats fallen, and obviously there are individual circumstances in which there is genuine, tremendous heroism, you know, hail of gunfire, rescuing fellow soldiers, and things like that. But it seems to me that we marshal this word in a way that is problematic. But maybe Im wrong about that"
What a damn flaming liberal!
It’s okay, I feel uncomfortable calling him a journalist.
THE question is: “Will advertisers ‘feel uncomfortable’ sponsoring any TV segment with Chris Hayes on it?”
I feel uncomfortable calling him “him.”
No, I mean, it’s not like he did something really bad, like calling a slut a slut.
” I feel uncomfortable calling him a journalist”
Don’t feel uncomfortable. This is what Journalists do, as opposed to Reporters who tell you What is happening instead of what they think of it.
“Don’t call me a journalist. I’m a reporter.” Matt Drudge
Mr Hayes needs to sign up, do basic, hump gear, and if he survives that, see our HEROES risk their own lives to protect each other before he Slanders them again.
No BTDT Chris? Then STFD and STFU.
