John just made a serious rift on both sides.

I reckon they’ll have to move off to California. LOL

I met a lass at a meeting in Logan WV a few years back who was named Hatfield.

My dad grew-up in Logan. When I was little my grandmother told me that the Hatfields "are kin". Must be pretty distant though because I haven't yet found them in the family tree.

As usual, the posters on Free Republic make me roll my eyes. I think the FR crowd gets weirder and weirder every year.

I think half the replies on this thread are:

1. Grown adults saying they can't handle all that violence on TV

2. I'd rather read a history book than watch a movie

3. I don't have cable (or don't have a TV.)

Sheesh.

Don't even mind the fact that they're posting on a thread that apparently has no interest to them.

I watched long enough to get the impression that it was a bunch of ignorant liberal Hollywood actors trying to be authentic hicks. Having grown up in the south and with ancestors from that region, I don’t tolerate fake accents.

Who cares? I’m going to watch “Storage Wars” and “American Pickers”. You can learn more history from them than from a bunch of rednecks shooting each other for practice.

This is an interesting movie about a time in our history were the folks actually had to take care of their problems on their own.

Pretty entertaining show. Kudos for the history channel for working content into the commercials even if I am not a Gieco fan ☺
