Michelle O wears $2700 sweater

The first closet has increasingly become a subject of interest since Michelle Obama swept fashionably into the White House in her Jason Wu ball gown.

Yesterday, Ann Romney’s clothes stole the spotlight as she wore a fashionable top on Tuesday for an appearance with her husband on CBS “This Morning.” Politico reported that the Reed Krakoff shirt would “cost you a pretty penny,” at $990.

But Mrs. Romney will need to step up her fashion game if she wants to fill the shoes of Mrs. Obama.

In March, the first lady visited her British counterpart Samantha Cameron wearing a L’Wren Scott sweater in a trendy bright yellow hue. The embellished cardigan costs $2,720.

Obama, widely regarded as a fashion icon, likes the brand so much that she wore a peach cardigan from the same line last week during the Take Your Child to Work Day festivities.

Yeah, but did she wear it with a Boob Belt?

I tell ya, I've no fashion sense. But Moochelle makes Hillary Clinton's Pantsuit look positively avant garde.

There is NO shirt out there worth 2700 dollars except if it was made from gold.
These people aren’t buying blouses , but names.

I just remember the bally-hoo that went on with what Palin was wearing. The press was very critical of Palin’s clothes, who paid for them, how much they were worth.

But, with Mooch - not so much.

No bias there, obviously. I guess I’m racist for noticing.

You can wrap an empty bag in gold leaf, it’s still an empty bag.

So? I am in my grubby, couldn’t care less clothes but will have wear my Paul Stewart suit to a meeting tomorrow.

$2,800 bucks.

Couldn’t care less what someone wears so long as it’s not tacky or ugly.

If I never see those stooping boob belts again, fine by me.

“You can’t take it with you”, as they say...no matter where you’re going.

Our WalMart has the $1.50, $2.00 and $3.00 racks out right now...Happy days are here again!

I am not a clothing snob, but I LUV well made clothing, shoes and bags. I am a girly girly all the way.I don’t care about names,I care about it being made well to last forever.

And my mom taught me how to shop; paying $2700 for a sweater is just ridiculous and doesn’t mean anything except you are paying for the “honor” of wearing some person’s tag...BFD!

Unless it is made out of mink and trimmed with gold, $2700 for a sweater means you been had! (I’d say “hoodwinked”, but I think that’s racist?)

“But, with Mooch - not so much.”

###

“Not so much?”

How about “Not at all”, or more accurately, actually a cause for celebration of her refinement, fashion sense and good taste, not seen in years in the White House.

A First Lady of which we can all finally be proud...

There is a wing of the Smithsonian set aside for the “Fashions of the First Ladies”. There are displays for various First Ladies, with the gowns they wore at various functions.

I can’t help but think that the area for Mooch will look like a Clearance Rack at Target.
