Tessa Vanvlerah, 22, allowed Kenneth Kyle, a Californian college professor, to photograph, urinate on, rape and burn her 5-month-old daughter.

According to STL Today, Vanvlerah’s attorney’s attempted to get her probation based on a psychological disorder. The judge was not lenient on the woman.

She was forced to give up her custody of the infant in 2010 when she was charged with first degree statutory rape, incest, child pornography and sodomy.

Kyle was sentenced in March to serve a term of 37 and a half years in federal prison.

The child has since been adopted by the foster parent who took her in back in 2010. The foster mother reports the girl is still traumatized by the events but is slowly recovering.

Public hanging would be so cathartic in cases such as this. Exterminating vermin such as this cleanses society of evil in a direct and satisfying way.

This is not journalism.

The headline doesn’t match the story.

The “writer” evidently doesn’t think we’re interested in the fate of the “professor”.

How much do they pay these sub-morons?

I’m going out on a limb here but I think the writer is so appalled that the mother is let this happen to her baby. Most mothers in the animal kingdom kill to protect their babies.

“Kyle teaches and conducted research in the social sciences and in the community psychology areas, revolving around the application of critical theories such as Critical Literary Theory, Feminism, Frankfurt School, Critical Theory, and Marxism to specific social problems and public policy. “

This is from a 2010 seminar. Ken Kyle was a Public Affairs and Administration professor. Here's a seminar topic he spoke on/wrote a paper on:

Bound for debate: Visual imagery, teachable moments, consciousness-raising & marginalization by gender and sexual difference.

Little attention has been given to inadvertent teachable moments that are spurred by visual images. These unexpected teachable moments highlighted with visual imagery can potentially reveal power asymmetries and social injustices, especially within the context of advertising campaigns that tend to reproduce cultural norms.

In this paper, we explore a campus controversy that revolved around a campus-wide advertising campaign that used Bondage & Discipline, Sadism & Masochism (BDSM), stereotypical gender, and lesbian imagery. We analyzed qualitative interview data as well as data from a women’s studies final exam to discuss teachable moments involving discussions of gender stereotyping and resistance, women’s marginalization, pornography and sexual agency. Through a lens of standpoint epistemology we highlight successes and failures resulting from both seized and missed opportunities to use the visual campaign as a mechanism of libratory pedagogy. (draft paper with Holly Angelique Penn State, Harrisburg)

Just when you think you've heard it all. Words fail me about why society should have to pay his prison bills.

It seems the pair had met online. At some point, she offered up her own 5-month-old baby for them both to rape.

This isn’t the first time Vanvlerah’s been charged with being a perv. In 2008, a mother got a restraining order against her, accusing Vanvlerah of seducing her 16-year-old autistic son. Vanvlerah later bragged online about the seduction, and said she’d become pregnant with the boy’s baby, but it doesn’t appear that any criminal case arose from the affair.

Kyle, who holds a Ph.D. in justice studies

Police were first alerted to Kenneth M. Kyle, a professor at California State-East Bay, when he sent 100 child porn photos to an undercover FBI agent through a file sharing service...

Kyle made several trips to St. Louis over the past year to visit Van Vlerah. They would allegedly go to near by motels and engage in sex acts with the baby. This started when the baby was just five months old.

Metapedia tells us that Kyle got his Ph.D. in Justice Studies (interdisciplinary program in law and the social sciences) and an M.A. in Political Science from Arizona State University, and that his specialty is “the application of critical theories such as Critical Literary Theory, Feminism, Frankfurt School, Critical Theory, and Marxism to specific social problems and public policy.”

“Critical theory,” “Feminism,” “Frankfurt School” and, of course, “Marxism” are all academic code-words pointing to a decided left-wing orientation. To be certain that I’m not falsely characterizing him, I undertook some digging around on the net.

In 2005, when he was still an Associate Professor at Penn State, Kyle was the editor of Social Problems Forum, the official newsletter of the Society for the Study of Social Problems (SSSP). In the Fall 2005 issue of Social Problems Forum, Kyle described himself as follows (p. 18):

“My research and teaching interests revolve around the application of critical social theory to address social injustices.”

“Social justice” is another of those code words that directly points to a Marxist leftwing orientation. If you need more confirmation, here is an excerpt from his “A Note From the Editor”:

“This issue of Social Problems Forum: The SSSP Newsletter marks a number of important changes for the SSSP and for society generally…. And at a more personal level, it marks the passing of New Orleans, my hometown, from a city rich in cultural heritage but racial and class-based inequality, and ambiguous sexual and gender relations, to something yet to be determined.”
