A Flagler County man who had thousands of images of child porn, including images of children as young as 2 engaged in sex, was sentenced to seven years in prison for receiving child pornography over the Internet. Andrew Hitas, 65, of Palm Coast, pleaded guilty to the charge in December. He had a computer with 3,904 images and 514 videos depicting child pornography, as well as logs of online conversations between Hitas and another individual discussing sexual molestation of children, the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Middle District of Florida said in a statement Tuesday. Authorities zeroed in on Hitas after an internet protocol address linked him went to a website with child porn. Authorities went to his home on May 26 and interviewed him. They said they were conducting a child-porn investigation. "Among other things, Hitas stated that he looks at naturalist sites that include nude photos of children,'' the statement said. They also showed him images of boys and girls as young as 2 engaged in sex acts that came from the website he visited. He later invited the agents into his bedroom and told them 'It's all on there," referring to a particular computer.

How is it any different than public schools and the federal government encouraging kids to have sex and giving them free condoms when they are 11 or 12??
Imagine a future where sex with anyone of any age and even strangers is considered a right and normal. Drugs are freely distributed and the state is expected to take care of all your needs.

No evidence this guy had actual contact with children, but the intent is clearly there. 7 years seems light for this kind of outright evil.
It’s my understanding that children are common in naturist camps, etc especially in Europe, but there is just nudity. What this guy was doing seems well removed from nudism, as it involved sexual activity.

the “just nudity” is what attracts the pervs, they want to see nekkid kids, also make friends with the kind of people who would cheerfully stroll those kids around who knows who.

I agree wholeheartedly. What about the people who exploit children and put this disgusting material on the internet? What are they doing about them?
Not to defend this guy but I just have to ask - where were the kids’ parents? If these are young kids engaging in sex then where the hell are the parents? Who took the pictures?
When my kids were young I knew everything about anyone who came in contact with them. If an adult was trying to get close to them I wanted to know why - what the hell was the person up to?
I ran off some of my kids’ friends’ relatives and “older” friends. I mean what person that is 20 wants to play with 12 year olds?
I know that it is sometimes difficult to pinpoint the predator by “profiling” but don’t the parents have to take some of the heat for these things as well?
So, Johnny who’s your friend? Isn’t he a little young to be shaving? You want to sleep over at his house? Not only no, but HELL NO! Sometimes being just plain not politically correct, calling a spade a spade, and voicing your concerns in a clear, concise manner protects the kids.
The man is 65 years old. The question is, "now"? And, what did this man do from say 25 through 65?
