No One Wants Tim Tebow (What happens to him after Peyton Manning joins the Denver Broncos?)

As soon as word came through that Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos were ironing out a contract, the Tim Tebow questions began to fly.

The likeliest of outcomes seemed to be a trade.

But where?

Everyone's first instinct was the Jacksonville Jaguars. That doesn't appear likely, as reports say that Jags management doesn't have any interest in Tebow.

New England was mentioned as a possibility too because the guy who drafted him, Josh McDaniels, is now an offensive coordinator there and Bill Belichick loves going outside the box. Chances of that ever happening are slim, though.

The Miami Dolphins and their hated GM Jeff Ireland were mentioned, but that doesn't look promising after they signed David Garrard to compete with Matt Moore. Other teams with quarterback questions have already figured things out.

Late Manning entrants the San Francisco 49ers will go back to Alex Smith. The Seattle Seahawks settled on free agent Matt Flynn.

Cleveland has issues at QB, but is prepared to continue the Colt McCoy experiment. Even if the Browns were looking for a change, Tebow doesn't fit into team president Mike Holmgren's west coast offense.

Philadelphia has even been bandied about as a wild card possibility, but despite the Eagles coaching staff's success with QB projects, we don't see this happening.

If Tebow could read defenses like Manning it would make him a much better QB. Manning knows the weakness in every defensive formation the other team throws at him. His brain is his best tool.

Rogers is way too young and will be around for a long time. Maybe Tennessee Titans since QB Hasselbeck is no spring chicken but Tebow could learn from him too and take over in a few years.

My unxolicitied opinion?

Tebow is not a very good QB, but he has that intangible thing of inspiring confidence, and knowing how to win.

I like the Panthers, so I don't have a dog in this fight. I just enjoy watching the guy play. He's one of those "Anything can happen when he's on the field" kind of players.

He’ll never be a Manning or Dan Marino when it comes to his passing, but he will continue to get better if given the chance.

A couple of us here have compared his on the field play to another hugely underrated quarterback. Many said he couldn't throw worth a damn either.

A native of Azusa, California, Kilmer played baseball, football and basketball during his athletic career at Citrus High School in California, scoring more than 1,500 points in the latter sport while earning All-American honors.

Kilmer then competed in football for one year at Citrus Junior College where he scored six touchdowns and threw for 15 more, with a broken foot limiting his playing time for the Citrus basketball team.

He then went on to play three seasons at UCLA, closing out his career with an outstanding season in 1960 that helped him finish fifth in voting for the Heisman Trophy. During that stellar campaign, he threw for over 1,000 yards, ran for over 800, scored eight touchdowns and served as the team's punter.

After the conclusion of a UCLA career that saw him finish among the top five in school history for passing and rushing yards, as well as total offense, Kilmer played in the 1961 College All-Star Game, where he earned Most Valuable Player honors.

Drafted by the 49ers, he saw action primarily at running back during his rookie season, rushing for 509 yards and ten touchdowns, with his top performance coming against the expansion Minnesota Vikings on October 15 when he rushed for four touchdowns.

Kilmer led the Redskins to an NFC-best 11-3 record, while also leading the NFL in touchdown passes (19) and passer rating (84.8). After the season, Washington advanced to their first Super Bowl, which they lost, 14-7, to the unbeaten Miami Dolphins (16-0). The loss didn't dampen Kilmer's individual recognition as he was named to the Pro Bowl and the All-NFC Team.

Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos agreed to terms of a five-year, $33 million deal, including $8.7 million guaranteed.

I wouldn't worry about Tebow, since he doesn't drink, gamble and whore around, he probably still has most of his money from 2010.

He'll either get another contract in the NFL or he'll go on to do other things and with his faith and belief in God, Tim Tebow will do just fine.

Terry Bradshaw was a terrible quarterback his first year or two in the NFL and look at how great he turned out to be.

The guy that will lose the most, if it becomes clear early on Peyton isn't working out (for whatever reason), is John Elway. His stature in Broncoland will be tarnished greatly. He will be seen as a great QB who is way in over his head as a Bronco front office executive.
Conversely, if Peyton takes the Broncos deep into the play offs his first season, or to the SB ... Elway will look like a genius. Elway was always a gunslinger ... hope it works out for him.

I don't see how Elway comes out a genius either way. It doesn't take genius to recruit/hire what was, and may still be, a great quaterback. But I truly believe your first option is much more likely.

call the broncos. let them know you will be BOYCOTTING any advertisers and sponsors they have.

call any advertisers and explain to them you are BOYCOTTING their products as the broncos support religious persecution against Christians

if any ‘news’ organization reports the incident with glee, do the same to it and it’s advertisers.

THEN ... recommend your friends do the same. tell them to get two friends to also do the same. repeat
