You are so right. And with the mandatory ultrasound, it's all lining up perfectly:

* all medical records belong to the gov’t as a result of stimulus
* government requiring ultrasounds (now only in some states if you want abortion, but how soon will it be mandatory for all pregnancies?)
* board-of-15 mandating medical treatment (i.e., abortion) based on results of ultrasound.

I can't get it through my friend's head that just because they give you an insurance card to carry in your wallet, that doesn't mean you will get the actual medical treatment you seek. A disabled fetus could conceivably be denied all medical care based on pre-existing conditions. If you follow the oh-so-beloved UK model, you cannot get medical care out-of-pocket, out-of-system, or you are banished from the system for life.
