Michael Savage: Breitbart tape 'fell flat'
World Net Daily ^

Posted on 03/11/2012 11:46:08 AM PDT by Politics4US

"The release of the highly anticipated videotapes of Barack Obama speaking at an affirmative-action rally when he was a student at Harvard Law School “fell flat,” revealing little about the president’s radical past that wasn’t already known, contends talk radio host Michael Savage.

“Was there a screaming Obama railing at the top of his lungs about the evils of white oppression? No,” Savage said on his “Savage Nation” show last night. “Was there a beret-wearing Obama with an AK-47? No.”

Savage said the video promised by Andrew Breitbart before he died last week “shows basically the same Obama you’d hear on the stump today.”

“The same monotonous cadence, the same haughty demeanor,” Savage said. “If this was supposed to be a blockbuster revelation, there wasn’t much block to bust.”

Which tape? The old one or the new one with Ogletree bragging about hiding the old tape?

I see that being obtuse is a naturally acquired trait.

@He was never a professor so don't credit him with something that wasn't his.

Don't bring up points about which you have no clue!

Obama was an adjunct professor. In academia, those types commonly get away with styling themselves as "Professor", even though they don't have tenure, not that they could care less (for obvious reasons, if you know any examples). In any case, Obama selected the reading list, the fact was published before the election, and that's the only point that counts.

BTW, I know an adjunct professor at a certain graduate school who got paid forty large (plus expenses and his choice of overnight female, which he declned as far as we know) to fly half way around the world and give a two day seminar on certain critical aspects of business strategy. His university salary was low six digits, but that ain't the half of it! Not close! Nice work if you can get it :)!

Since you didn't answer my question vagueness and being misleading must be your acquired traits.

This ain't academia and he was nothing more than a lecturer.
You know...a guy who runs his mouth all of the time.

Obama was NOT an “Adjunct professor”, he was a “lecturer”
He did not have any professorial status whatsoever. I researched it. You should read the opinions of the REAL
professors there about Obama’s “sloppy, lazy” work ethic : )

Bah! Lecturer, Sr. Lecturer, Adjunct Professor all mean more or less the same thing: a person who is not on a tenured academic career track, but whom the institution respects sufficiently to put in front of their students as an academic authority. Often such people will do the job for a short interlude between major non-academic gigs.

He did not have any professorial status whatsoever. I researched it.

Wrong. He was teaching at a major American university. It was on the U of C's campus that the first nuclear reactor was built. Here's how the University currently characterizes him:

Statement Regarding Barack Obama
The Law School has received many media requests about Barack Obama, especially about his status as "Senior Lecturer."

From 1992 until his election to the U.S. Senate in 2004, Barack Obama served as a professor in the Law School. He was a Lecturer from 1992 to 1996. He was a Senior Lecturer from 1996 to 2004, during which time he taught three courses per year. Senior Lecturers are considered to be members of the Law School faculty and are regarded as professors, although not full-time or tenure-track. The title of Senior Lecturer is distinct from the title of Lecturer, which signifies adjunct status. Like Obama, each of the Law School's Senior Lecturers has high-demand careers in politics or public service, which prevent full-time teaching. Several times during his 12 years as a professor in the Law School, Obama was invited to join the faculty in a full-time tenure-track position, but he declined.

You should read the opinions of the REAL professors there about Obama’s “sloppy, lazy” work ethic : )

Hindsight. By raising his status, the U of C lowered its own! It has fallen far since the days of Fermi.

“Hindsight. By raising his status, the U of C lowered its own!”

Like many other so-called top notch schools. By the way, I wasn’t trying to insult you. Both of my parents were college (full) professors, so I know the hierarchy, and the pecking order. If one is a “lecturer”, one is NOT a professor, even an “assistant” professor is a professor, , albeit a lowly one. Therefore, U of C LIED by calling him a professor, and probably LIED about his offer of a permanent professorship to boot.
Respectfully, SJB

Just a thought: Does the student newspaper at Harvard have an archive?

Just a thought: Does the student newspaper at Harvard have an archive?

You could try Google. Example: site:thecrimson.com derrick bell obama

The first hit is Bell's obit, which begins:

Once called the “Rosa Parks of legal education” by President Obama, Derrick A. Bell—the first tenured black professor at Harvard Law School—died Wednesday night. He was 80 years old.

It goes like this:

BB (Breitbart) makes a minor charge, which draws a major denial from the left —they offer some explanation.

THEN BB rolls out additional evidence that makes plain the great lie contained in the initial denial.

This then triggers much teeth-gnashing, yelling, and rambling back-tracking. Then a back-up explanation/denial is issued.

THEN BB rolls out something really huge (something that wasn’t disclosed at first) that drags the entire group of lefty apoligists down the bar counter, pushing all manner of peanuts, beer, and sending drinks crashing onto the barroom floor.

Then the victim is pummeled, kicked into silence and finally pee’d upon.

THAT is how is goes.

What a fantastic description of the Breitbart model, gaijin!

That is also one of the funniest things I've read on FR in awhile... LOL
