The 16-year-old star of Channel 4 reality TV show Big Fat Gypsy Weddings today married the boy who 'grabbed' her in a disco last year.
Cheyenne Pidgley of Hersham, Surrey, wed 18-year-old fellow Traveller John McFadyen in a ceremony held at St Peter's church this afternoon, with 200 family and friends in attendance.

At least the toddlers are dressed decently. The young woman looks like she’s wearing a dress that she wore as a toddler as her dress looks about the same size as the dresses the two toddlers in the photo are wearing.
The 'travelers' are known in the UK for living in motor homes and descending en masse upon communities and setting up permanent homesites, oftentimes in violation of local land-use laws, and of being allowed to do so by the Government because they have become a protected 'minority group'.
So, being a traveler 'property developer' means that you and your extended family drive your motorhomes onto any open space and set up permanent residence there, regardless of the laws.

We still have friends from when we were in the UK and we’ve been told that the boys aren’t allowed to date the girls unsupervised. They can kiss but there’s no sex before marriage, so yes, maybe they’re over the top but they seem to have moral standards.

The UK use to be known as the most polite and civilized country in the world back in the 1960s. From what I can see the nanny/welfare state there has caused them to go backward into a feral state. It dovetails perfectly when the Muzzies run the show there starting around 2038.

It’s unfortunate that these ‘high moral standards’ are not known for extending into the realm of a respect for the rule of law and property rights.

Well, I might say that, but as a northerner, I might be considered biased... Personally, I’ve always found rural Cumbrians to be the friendliest and most decent people, and London not so much, although I’m sure there are decent people there as well, just not in as high a concentration...
IIRC, tinker is the medieval term for tinsmith.
Many gypsies are itinerant tinkers. Repairing pots & pans and that sort of thing.

When they say they are a “property developer” it means either that they are in the business of finding unoccupied land to squat on with their caravans, in defiance of the government, or that they are in the business of scamming non-Travellers with intentionally below-grade home improvement work.

I have no doubt whatsoever that we could make some sort of arrangement wherein the child would be able to live with you. I'm guessing that it would involve 'inviting' the child's relatives to park their fifty travel trailers on your property and for your residence to be the focal point of endless police raids. And you didn't 'really' want to keep any of your personal property or bank accounts at all, did you? No, I didn't think so. ;-)
