“There should be racial quotas in boxing and basketball to reflect the racial component of the populous”

There is a quota of sorts, though not racial. I believe it has something to do with rap sheets...

“I’m speaking my mind on behalf of other NBA players. They are programmed to be politically correct and will be penalized if they speak up.”
1. You are not an NBA player. Dumb ass...
2. Not ALL NBA players are black. Yet..........

MANNY PACQUAIO, The Filipino champ who is the first eight-division world champion; having won six world titles in different weight classes.

I can't wait to see Floyd Mayweather get the snot beat out of him but I'm not sure Pac-Man is the man to do it. Mayweather would have trounced the Pacquaio who fought Marquez.

Winning multiple titles is impressive but the luster is taken off a bit when you realize how many weight classes there are now and how many sanctitioning bodies there are. Henry Armstrong holding the ONLY recognized titles SIMULTANEOUSLY at welterweight (147 pounds), lightweight (135) and featherweight (126) is far more impressive IMO. There are some champions in the last decade or so of the diluted titles who I doubt would have given Sugar Ray Robinson, Henry Armstrong, or Willie Pep a good workout.

“I would admit that part of the novelty and surprise of the media story around Lin is that he’s of Taiwanese extraction, but that’s probably not as important as the fact that his good play has happened for a team located in the heart of New York City. If he were playing well for the Rockets no one would have heard of him yet.”

Lin is only the 3rd player in the NBA who went to Harvard. The others graduated in 1954 and 1948.

That in and of itself is an accomplishment.

Yeah ... and Mayweather’s a good boxer, but all the hype is because he’s black, right?.

There should be racial quotas in boxing and basketball to reflect the racial component of the populous

Lets see... would yu pay to see an NBA team with the following...80% white, 12% black, 4% Asian, 2% multi-racial, 1% American Indian/Alaskan Native, 1% Hawaiian/ Pacific Islander?? It would be interesting to see the scores would be...

Isn’t Mayweather the same guy who recently prompted HBO boxing analyst Larry Merchant to say, “if I were 50 years younger, I’d kick your ass?”

Floyd is wrong...black players HERE get special consideration....special rights..

if they're quarterbacks, they are considered gods....they can't do anything wrong...

if they play dirty, they're excused because you know, its their ghetto and their culture....

same is they're on drugs or frequent strip clubs and porn shops....usually its the white girls they abuse...

but let a white guy be a running back or a wide receiver....they get no respect....none....whites can't be running backs or receivers apparently....

everyone knows that Lin was overlooked because of his race....

just like Jimmer....overlooked and ignored and pooh poohed...

probably the last Ivy League BB player to be great was Bill Bradley....also who played for the Knicks....

and Lin only went to Harvard because every other big college ignored him, even his hometown Stanford...and this after he won a HS bb championship...
