And I think he addressed this issue pretty well. Never thought I'd ever see one of Jerry's tales apply so perfectly to a river city in the U.K. Things have definitely taken a turn for the surreal.

This very thing happened years ago, in the Seventies, at a biker bar in California that I used to go to from time to time- except that the saw-toting miscreant was SHOWERED with very hard-thrown beer bottles and successfully repelled.

In an American Bar this would just be a straight up everyday shooting or stabbing. The British have to keep coming up with improvised weapons, chainsaws are an interesting choice.
