Millions of African Americans live in communities that lack access to good jobs and good schools and suffer from high crime rates. African American adults are about twice as likely to be unemployed as whites, black students lag their white peers in educational attainment and achievement, and African American communities tend to have higher than average crime rates. These issues have been persistent problems.
Jobs are essential to improving African American communities. Increased employment would help people in these communities lift themselves out of poverty. In addition, because poor economic conditions are an important causal factor behind poor educational outcomes and high crime rates are correlated with high unemployment rates, creating job opportunities would help improve educational outcomes and reduce crime.
This paper outlines a plan for significantly increasing the number of jobs available to African Americans. The plan, which targets communities with persistently high unemployment, includes three main components: creation of public sector jobs, job training with job-placement programs, and wage subsidies for employers. Although the plan is constructed with African Americans in mind, it would also provide benefits to Latino, American Indian, and white communities in which unemployment has remained high...

They could try something like extending Unemployment Compensation, set-aside jobs, institute Affirmative Action hiring.

There are problems in the African American communnity which I cannot fix. And Federal money won't fix 'em either.
Let the negroes fix their culture. That must come first. All the rest will follow and, no, it won't require government money. Government money will just slow down the process of purging the ghetto culture.
Liberals assume it is a coincidence that there are fewer private sector jobs in areas with high crime rates. It never crosses the pathetic little minds of the community organizers that this is cause and effect.
If Obama really, really cared, he would resign.

Blacks will always lag behind whites in schools and jobs, until they develop a work ethic and a study ethic.
It is much easier just to blame whites for their problems and take taxes from those who work to try to absolve the problems of those who won’t work.
As long as welfare, unemployment, Affirmative action jobs and Social Security disability exist there will be workers of all colors there to suck it up. And there will be jobs sitting and waiting to be taken, jobs they don’t feel are up to their standards.

There is no Federal policies needed.
They need to pick up everything of theirs that they can and evacuate the “government plantation society”[©Wuli 2012] cities that the Liberals, Progressives and Marxists created; and migrate to the states in the U.S. that are not run by the Liberals, Progressives, Marxists and unions.
Federal policies directed to solve their problems will not “save” or “empower” them, they will only strengthen and empower the “government plantation society”[©Wuli 2012] minded politicians and the perpetual entitlement programs they love.
Exactly! It’s a cultural thing......just look at Barry’s work ethic, in the office at 9, vacation every 4 weeks, etc, etc.
Those that break free of the mindset are successful, black, white or whatever complexion.
This is one of the stupidest things I've ever read and should be saved and taught as an example of the phony victim mentality and justification for increasing the size of government and reducing the freedom and rights of individuals.
Washington Dc is mostly African American and there are plenty of good jobs and blacks receive preferential hiring. Blacks commit crimes and glorify the criminal subculture. Just listen to rap music if you don't believe me. Or look at the crime statistics. African Americans and their liberal supporters waste hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars every year by ruining schools many of which were perfectly good years ago.
The other thing to understand is that your tax dollars paid for this report. Whoever wrote it is sponging off the taxpayers. We are paying for the government to produce this nonsense.
Not only in America ... but pretty much world-wide. It's nothing new, it's been going on for q while. I guess there must be a problem with me, for noticing this startling trait.
Don’t know what the statistics are for 2011, but in 2010 the reported national high school graduation rate for African Americans was around 47% (New York and Philly 28%, Chicago and Washington DC 44%). That has nothing to do with intelligence or access to schools. It’s the result of a cultural cancer that is tragically stealing happy productive self-determined lives from black children, and is the result of policies and approaches encouraged by the left.

The Census Bureau’s job is 100% no more than reporting national demographic information. It has no mission whatsoever to either propose or advocate on behalf of government policies directed towards any issue that may appear to arise from the demographic data.
Prior to the Civil Rights Act of 1964, for some strange reason
(sarcasm) the cohesion of the Black family and neighborhoods were at a much better place than they are right now.
Place the blame directly against those well to do Blacks that abandoned those areas as soon as possible, the Doctors, Lawyers, Actors etc.
At one time the single Black mother had a certain amount of support in the Black community, watch the movie “Ray”
or the movie “Rosewood” a community prospering in the worst of times.
Cry me a river. Blacks vote for the people that keep them down like this.
More government will get the exact same result. It always has.
Well, I went to the DMV recently and noticed there was NO DIVERSITY there. ALL were black female...ALL. And there was one..(1) young lady who blew all the others away in transactions and speed..I told her so and she knew...It was very telling to me. 4 out of 5 are victims of a good job.

Gee, maybe the producers should be forced at gun point to fund thousands of fleets and millions of busses in which to cart these good citizens around.. with subsidized fares, of course. Whites can take cabs, get dragged out of them and get their cracker asses whipped too.. just for moral righteousness sake. |
