MOSCOW: Several objects resembling living beings were detected on photographs taken by a Russian landing probe in 1982 during a Venus mission, says an article published in the Solar System Research magazine.
Leonid Ksanfomaliti of the Space Research Institute of Russia's Academy of Sciences published a research that analysed the photographs from the Venus mission made by a Soviet landing probe, Venus-13, in 1982.
The photographs feature several objects, which Ksanfomaliti said, resembled a "disk", a "black flap" and a "scorpion".

What matters is what is between the surface and what lies below.
Ordinary silica basalts melt at a lot higher temperature than that, and until they do, they make very good insulators. The insulator “rock wool” is made from basalt. Typically, when it is liquid, gases bubble through it while it solidifies, leaving it full of bubbles.
“Venus has no evidence of plate tectonics, so the theory is that the interior of the planet heats up (due to the decay of radioactive elements) until material in the mantle is hot enough to force its way to the surface. The subsequent resurfacing event covers most or all of the planet with lava, until the mantle is cool enough for the process to start over.”
This “resurfacing” would be ideal for silicates like basalt to erupt from the equivalent of a supervolcano, repeatedly covering the surface with layer after layer of insulation.
Thus the area far away from the eruption could be relatively cool, underground.

It’s all those millions of SUVs up there causing it. Maybe Venus government officials need to increase their fuel taxes significantly. That way the oceans would lower themselves and the air would be cleaner. Have I missed anything? (^;

Long ago, a friend made an interesting observation about that movie.
Both the Eloi and the Morlocks were blond, suggesting one of two things. Either Aryan types were more resistant to radiation, or more capable of survival underground; or that England had been repopulated by Nordic peoples.
Last time I looked a whole sh** load of people in England were descended from the Norsemen. In fact William the conqueror and his people(the Normans)were descended from Nordics, so the fact that there are mostly blonds in that movie is spot on. Lots of blonds in England.
The time traveler is the only brunette. However, it should also be noted that in the more recent movie, all the Eloi were brown skinned with dark hair; indicating that they were aware of the Aryan nature of the original and went to the opposite extreme.
So will we terraform Venus before the scorpions there venusaform us?
