Sorry to hear about your problem. Here is a R_X that works for me:

• 2 oz. gin
• 1/2 oz. dry vermouth
• 1 olive
• Shake ingredient 1 and 2 vigorously with ice, strain and add ingredient 3.
• Drink.
• Repeat.
