U.S. Justice Department blocks S.C. voter ID law

The U.S. Justice Department has blocked South Carolina’s controversial voter ID law, saying it would prevent black people from voting. It was the first voter ID law to be refused by the federal agency in nearly 20 years. The decision means voters will not have to show a Department of Motor Vehicles-issued driver’s license or photo ID card, a U.S. military ID or a U.S. passport. And it means the state, which says it plans to appeal the decision in court, will spend time and taxpayer dollars on the second such lawsuit during Gov. Nikki Haley’s term.

How exactly would it stop black people from voting?

Let’s face it: the voting system in this country is corrupt and rigged and both parties, but especially the Rats, like it that way.

I wonder why they blocked this one first when other states, including Tennessee, have this law as well and had it sooner (if I recall correctly).

Boy oh boy I would love to hear the Justice Department’s logic that gets them to the conclusion that voter photo ID laws will keep black people from voting. Not white people. Not brown people. Nope. JUST black people. Now why is that ya suppose?

We have sunk to the incredible point to where the U.S. Justice Dept. is basically demanding that states allow voter fraud as it helps the Democratic party.

There was never any real doubt that the Obama administration was corrupt but now they are even more corrupt.

Justice Dept. has no authority, what does Supreme court say?

Hint: look at Indiana APR. 2008

How do Black residents in South Carolina get a job, take a drug test, get a bank account, buy a money order, buy alcohol or tobacco, cash a pay check, register to vote, or rent an apartment without I.D.?

You have to have an ID to vote in any Union election. As such, is the DOJ blocking Unions, as well? =.=

Apparently, Obama needs votes from Mickey, Spiderman, Minnie, Catwoman (her costume is always black, and her skin sometimes is), and other fictional or dead characters with black pigment, and Holder is going to keep them on the voter rolls. Personally, I prefer honest elections, but that's not the Chicago Way or the Democrat Party's way.

Re: Unions require voter I.D.

Good catch, cranked.

Didn’t know that.

Well, photographs rely on reflected light, and the color black doesn't relect light, so a black person can't have a photo ID, because you can't take their photograph. Or something.

Tell the feds to get bent. Our states, our laws, if you can't produce a piece of I.D. that verifies that you can legally vote, you shouldn't be participating in the process. Anything less corrupts the entire voting process, and destroys any faith in the federal voting process, and by extension, faith in the federal government to uphold the law. If they want mob rule, it's time to change the management, to one more mindful of their constitutional responsibilities.

I just wish the state of SC had the gonads to tell the Feds to go F themselves.

No I.D.? Fine with me. Two can play that game. I’ll happily make “extra rounds” on election day. There’s more of us than there are of them! I might even finish the day at my last stop hanging out at the door with a billy club.

Mississippi NAACP leader sent to prison for 10 counts of voter fraud

In a story ignored by the national media, in April a Tunica County, Miss., jury convicted NAACP official Lessadolla Sowers on 10 counts of fraudulently casting absentee ballots. Sowers is identified on an NAACP website as a member of the Tunica County NAACP
Executive Committee.

The NAACP fights to protect voter fraud

Snips: Yes indeed. In fact, the number of voters in some districts have even exceeded the number of residents in recent years. Which the NAACP sees as a triumph.

Members of Mr. Obama’s (Social) Justice Department probably helped to write this report.

And never mind that you have to have photo ID to buy antihistamines, cigarettes, alcohol, spray paint, to drive, to pick up a prescription, to take an airplane. Even to get government benefits.

It does not stop them from voting. It just stops them from voting multiple times in the same election.

It prevents voter fraud.

Eric Holder should just be ignored.

South Carolina should enforce the law and arrest all resistors, detain and incarcerate for 72 hours

If they have no valid ID they are not persons
