Sarah Palin Could Run....And Win
My semi-fertile mind | Fantail1952

Many have truly lost interest in the Republican primary and its "candidates." None appear fully acceptable, all have major faults and excess baggage that could easily cause them to lose to an absolutely unre-electable sitting president.

While polls are often flawed and many are absolutely biased, I have seen a consistent trend that any particular GOP candidate VS Obama consistently loses, given a choice between "Any Republican" and Obama, the Republican wins handily. What this means is that the majority of voters, about 75% in the GOP in fact, are totally unhappy with the choices offered.

It is my considered opinion that an overwhelming majority of both Republican rank-and-file, and independent voters alike, are seeking someone to challenge Obama....other than the candidates offered.

Who does this leave?

As I recall, some four months ago, about the time of her triumphant tours and speeches, Sarah Palin stated that she "would run the most unconventional campaign ever." To this point, if she reverses course and comes in late to the fray, that would be the "most unconventional" move ever!

These endless and largely meaningless drivel-driven so called debates have done little more than pissed off many conservatives. By opting out in October, Sarah was insulated from this nonsense, and actually strengthened her desirability.

If, and this is a big IF, she decided to reenter any time before the Iowa caucus, she would likely show amazing support.

On the other hand, waiting to come in after the January mayhem, when deep divisions have made a clear frontrunner's unlikely, who better to fill the void?

Or even, with no leader in delegate count going into the convention, and with the prospect of internal war within the party, who better to be selected to heal the divisions and lead the GOP to victory?

Lets face it folks, we could well see the most unconventional campaign for nomination in the history of our nation!

But then, there is also another option........

I’m a big believer in group prayer. All of us Freepers should say one today in hopes of changing her mind and giving Sarah the strength to move forward. I am along with my family.

Guess it needed its own thread, huh?

Your source states "My semi-fertile mind"

No offense intended, but your mind is clearly heavily fertilized!

Just reading that thread about the fish that follow yellow naturally but can be taught to follow blue, and how opinion can move back and forth in the broad masses depending on who is most persistent or who gives a doggone!

Oh, yeah, we are all POd.

NOT!

This is great. The Republicans have had and continue to have great candidates ~ even those we chewed up and spat out.

The Democrats have nothing, and come the Fall next year they'll still have nothing and when they start campaigning it'll really fall flat with UNEMPLOYED YOUTH, and everybody else.

Let's hear it for the fish that follow the blue ~ they shall triumph in the fullness of time.

They stayed awake in school!

Nah. Too dangerous.

People all over this country would drop to the floor, pee their pants, and go into grand mal seizures, many into status.

Yes. I remember well the “unconventional” prophecy and have to believe that she’s one of the few that could actually pull this off. Her political acumen couldn’t be more underrated, and I certainly don’t hold that against her. The other side of this, unfortunately, is that she risks “relevance” if she DOESN’T run.

Why are you so eager to have someone run who 1) has repeatedly stated she’s not interested, 2) quit he last job she had midway through, and 3) is currently (unsuccessfully) hawking reality television shows?

Give it up. She’s not interested. She’s interested in making money (and i’m not going to condemn her for that; there’s nothing wrong with making money).

I was a Cain supporter and now have lost my enthusiasm in this race. Am searching for a candidate to endorse and have yet to come to grips who that may be.

My #1 priority is someone that can beat Osama. The media with all its tools keep taking down anyone but Romney who I will not endorse unless he gets the nomination.

I suppose when our caucuses come around it will be Newt. God help us.

You Palinistas remind me of the Black Knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the greatest comedic portrayal of a person in denial ever:

Arthur: “Now stand aside, worthy adversary!”

Black Knight: “’Tis but a scratch!”

Arthur: “A scratch! Your arm’s off!”

Black Knight: “No it isn’t.”

Arthur: “Well, what’s that, then?” (pointing at ground)

Black Knight: “I’ve had worse!”

Arthur: “You liar!”

Black Knight: “Come on, you pansy!”
