Sarah Palin Could Run....And Win
My semi-fertile mind | Fantail1952

Posted on 12/18/2011 10:00:30 AM PST by fantail 1952

Many have truly lost interest in the Republican primary and its "candidates." None appear fully acceptable, all have major faults and excess baggage that could easily cause them to lose to an absolutely unre-electable sitting president.

While polls are often flawed and many are absolutely biased, I have seen a consistent trend that any particular GOP candidate VS Obama consistently loses, given a choice between "Any Republican" and Obama, the Republican wins handily. What this means is that the majority of voters, about 75% in the GOP in fact, are totally unhappy with the choices offered.

It is my considered opinion that an overwhelming majority of both Republican rank-and-file, and independent voters alike, are seeking someone to challenge Obama....other than the candidates offered.

Who does this leave?

As I recall, some four months ago, about the time of her triumphant tours and speeches, Sarah Palin stated that she "would run the most unconventional campaign ever." To this point, if she reverses course and comes in late to the fray, that would be the "most unconventional" move ever!

These endless and largely meaningless drivel-driven so called debates have done little more than pissed off many conservatives. By opting out in October, Sarah was insulated from this nonsense, and actually strengthened her desirability.

If, and this is a big IF, she decided to reenter any time before the Iowa caucus, she would likely show amazing support.

On the other hand, waiting to come in after the January mayhem, when deep divisions have made a clear frontrunner's unlikely, who better to fill the void?

Or even, with no leader in delegate count going into the convention, and with the prospect of internal war within the party, who better to be selected to heal the divisions and lead the GOP to victory?

Lets face it folks, we could well see the most unconventional campaign for nomination in the history of our nation!

But then, there is also another option........

I wish Sarah Palin success and happiness in anything she choses to do in life. I see her as a great lady and I believe a Palin presidency would have been historic.

However, it’s now too late for her. She had her chance and she made her choice. The country has moved on.

Our country will have a President Newt Gingrich..... with our help, it’s going to happen.

GO NEWT GO.......

If Sarah does run, I’ll vote for her. If the GOP Elites succeed in running Mitt Romney, I’m not voting for president.

We must draft, nominate and elect Sarah Palin president in the most crushing tidal wave of enthusiastic good judgment ever seen in the history of this nation. With that one bold move we will accomplish the dual goals of seeing America led by the greatest natural born leader in our generation, even as we witness the final implosion and last agonized shrieks of our endlessly lying extreme left loonies. Their entire movement, from the fabricated attacks on Bush beginning with ‘Blood For Oil’ to the crammed-down-our-gullets lies of Obamacare and the Shovel Ready Stimulus, have been nothing but one vile deceit heaped upon another. Such an absolute inability to deal in the truth or to face the facts of our situation and its solutions only proves that there is simply no place at the grown-ups’ table for these diseased sputa. Good riddance to rubes and bad rubbish. Time to usher in the American Renaissance, carried in on the invigoratingly freshening breeze of President Sarah Palin.

There is an inverse variant to Palin Derangement Syndrome by which some folks simply cannot accept that the woman has absolutely no interest in running for office in a race which she would likely lose by a greater margin than McCain did, largely owning to the fact that many people have irreversibly made up their minds about her, and not in a good way.

I have to say, Sarah Palin is head and shoulders above anything that is now offered.
But at this point, I am resigned to watch another defeat drawn from the jaws of victory by the Republican party.

“I’m a big believer in group prayer. All of us Freepers should say one today in hopes of changing her mind and giving Sarah the strength to move forward. I am along with my family”

In all due respect to you, I think SP said she was prayerfully considering the run. If that's true than God has led her to decide not to make a go of it. So for her to change her mind would automatically go against the council of God, would it not?

Maybe we should, as many urge, let it go.

We most certainly do not have Great Candidates, we do have better than the other guy, which is how we have slowly drifted to the progressive leftist position over the last hundred years.

It took less than six months for the corrupt leadership in the house to compromise the TEA party freshmen. We have got to this point by denying how we came to be here in the first place.

AOBA will get us a little less Marxism, but the beat will go on.

If Iowan go caucus for her, that would certainly shake up the race and give her something to consider. I don’t know if they will, but that would certainly be what I would do before I switched to Ron Paul.

There is NO chance Palin will run. As for the candidates and slate..imo..we have one excellent man running and that is Newt Gingrich. I have no doubt that he would cream Obama. I do have doubts he will be our nominee because of the msm, faux news, establishment republicans that want Romney or else. Romney has been chosen for us and how dare Newt do so well in the polls.

My #1 priority is someone that can beat Osama

Can't know that without a crystal ball. 2008 they went with McCain (the maverick who could pull Independents) and we all know how that ended.

Go with your gut. Which candidate is most in line with your beliefs?
