Ex-girlfriend hid sperm and used for in-vitro pregnancy: suit
NY Post ^ | November 26, 2011 | KIERAN CROWLEY

A Long Island man was stunned to find out that his 4-year-old twins weren’t an accidental pregnancy at all — his desperate girlfriend secretly stashed away his sperm and used it for an in-vitro procedure, he charges in a lawsuit.

Elmont resident Joseph Pressil, 36, wasn’t planning on having children with Anetria Burnett, with whom he was in a relationship for six months in 2007, he said.

So she took matters into her own hands, he told The Post, in order to remain in his Texas house and make a legal bid for half of his possessions.

-snip-

The real bombshell dropped last February, when Pressil got a strange receipt in the mail for sperm cryopreservation.

Confused, he called the company that had sent him the paperwork, which referred him to the Advanced Fertility Center of Texas, where a manager asked him to sign a release form.

That’s when he said he uncovered the bizarre plot.

“She was taking [the semen in condoms] after the fact and running down to the clinic with it,” said Jason Gibson, who is representing Pressil in his suit. He now has joint custody.

Oh, PUHLEEAASE!

What, are you still living in Mommy & Daddy’s basement with your WiFi connection, because no sane woman will have you?

“Let those among you without sin cast the first stone.”

Hope you went to confession today since you think yourself to be spotless, Pal.

What a maroon.

Women...wouldn’t put anything past them. I had a “friend” call me one time...her husband was actually my husband’s platoon leader. Husband was the platoon sergeant. She wanted to tell her husband she was taking the pill, but not really....she wanted to pretend so she could get pregnant again...lie to him in short. She wanted another kid, he didn’t and doesn’t. They have 2. I told her you lie to him to get pregnant and he finds out, your marriage is over. The truth always comes out.

The Bible says what it says and I am not ashamed to tell that to you “OH, PUHLEEEEEZEmen.”

It’s just plain stupid, unwise, idiotic, moronic, foolish, doltish, asinine, etc. etc. to test-sex a girl before marriage. This is not like buying a car and God designed and created humanity and has the right to set the conditions under which he will bless or curse.

So take your OH, PUHLEEEEEEZE and stuff it.

Oh, and I need not throw any stone. People who do this end up throwing a lot of stones at themselves and each other, just fine. If you’re irritated that I’m warning you, then go complain to God about it. Maybe you can get God to be all urbane just like you!

Secret Agent Man: “See if you have her as a girlfriend saying “no” all that time.”

Doesn't sound like a great loss to me. Of course, I'm from an era where fornication was considered wrong, and more people saved themselves for holy marriage. It was nothing like this immoral, modern free for all where people change mates like they change underwear. I guess people nowadays equate dating with sex. That's their choice, but there ARE real world repercussions for immoral behavior.

On the other hand, the guy didn't deserve this, but getting burnt isn't unexpected when one plays with fire. Exotic dancing isn't a profession like any other, and gentlemen clubs aren't really for gentlemen. That's why many exotic dancers have drug problems, prostitute themselves, etc. It's not a noble profession. It's an industry that feeds on the basest human desires.

Just try rejecting your girlfriends’ advances for 6 months if she wants sex. See if you have her as a girlfriend saying “no” all that time.

Here's a good rule of thumb. NEVER, EVER sleep with a woman you are unwilling to raise children with.

If American is going to succeed with it's experiment in self government, citizens must accept responsibility for their action. Another instance of "don't do the crime if you can't do the time.

The children will pay the price for their parents’ fornication.

ALPAPilot: “Here's a good rule of thumb. NEVER, EVER sleep with a woman you are unwilling to raise children with.”

Good advice.

I have no right to condemn anyone for sin. We're all sinners. What I can do is explain that sin has negative results and recommend, like you, that people behave wisely.

We invest incredible amounts of time, effort and money in sexual sin mitigation techniques, but the results are not foolproof. Birth control, penicillin, abortion, AIDS drugs, etc., cannot fix every possible negative result of sexual sin. That's doesn't stop people from trying, but wouldn't it be easier to simply avoid the sin in the first place?

Women have all the power in deciding whether to have children these days. This isn’t the first time I’ve heard this tale — women going behind a guy’s back and circumventing whatever birth control method is used to trap him into either marriage or at least child support.

To level the playing field, we need a male contraceptive implant. Something that stops production of sperm for several years. Having a child is too important an event for it to happen without clear intent to raise it together. Every male should get such an implant at puberty and only have it removed when in a long term stable relationship, with both financial means and intent to begin a family.

That must have been easier when people married at 12 - 13, eh ?

“During the first century, however, it appears to have been the general rule that young people who were “of age” could arrange their own marriages. A girl was considered of age at twelve years and one day. The Jewish rabbis set the minimum age for marriage at twelve years for the girl, and thirteen years for the boy. A boy should certainly be wed by the time he was eighteen to twenty. “

With all due respect: there really are women out there who don’t want what’s in your pants without a ring on their finger. It’s called ‘commitment’ and doing things the old-fashioned way. Get to know either other mentally, spiritually, character-wise first. Try churches and other houses of worship to find such women rather than try picking up someone in a bar = you’ll have better odds. I did not have sex before I married, and I was in my 50s. I was looking for the right guy, and we finally found each other.

I have no complaints, personally, about society permitting consensual marriages at biblically young ages. I don’t mean Koran which was plain warped with its 6 year old child brides and such. But when well into puberty. 12 or 13 for a girl, 13 or 14 for a boy. They (typically the boy) also undertook to support the spouse through a trade at that age. None of this living in parents’ basements.

But not all biblical marriages occurred at the earliest possible date, and yet the love smitten suitor somehow managed to behave himself until the night of the wedding day. And the folks in the lead story were how old??? They were clearly playing around, not just a case of can’t wait.

The point is that in Biblical times it was possible for a man to be established in a trade and capable of supporting a family within just a few years of puberty.

That is not true today in America. Most people would consider it irresponsible for Americans to marry as teenager. People today typically have an extra decade of hormone driven temptation to deal with before they feel prepared to begin a family. Asking them to remain chaste for a decade is very different from Biblical times.

All of which if granted for hypothetical argument’s sake doesn’t explain the shenanigans in the lead story.

Immorality bites in a lot of ways. Being responsible would be NOT fornicating.
