We see all this press about the OWS criminals. What I've not seen lately is the Tea Party rallies that were popular last year, and should be popular and much more capable this year and certainly much more outgoing next year.
We need to start showing the country we're still around, still active and certainly a better crowd than the OWS morons.
Greenville, SC here....was wondering myself if the tea party was fading away. Hope there is a plan to energized again...

Besides the parks are still OCCUPIED by the great unwashed ones. You don't want to be touching anything in a public or private park for a while.
Second, I think people are waiting for the second round of voting in 2012.
Third, some of the Tea Parties I spoke at went out of their way to be "non-partisan," even though they were clearly Republican, and as such made it difficult to mobilize people behind a party agenda---which you have to have to succeed in Washington.
I think that we are going to be treated to a CONSERVATIVE SPRING.
I am hoping next summer. We need the Tea party to be involved in the 2012 elections.
When? ....at the polls on the specified dates!
;-)
we should get some TPers from across the country to start working on the ground there.
just my pair of pennies
Closer to the elections would be my suggestion. Voters seem to have an attention span that varies between limited and none. Congress’ is at NONE!
4th, I don’t like your negativity.
a local TEA Party had a rally not that long ago for Ron Paul...
Is that what you mean ???
As soon as there is a national right to carry law.
Candidates will be diligently seeking Tea Party endorsements in 2012. So even if there aren’t rallies, local and state Tea Party groups will be quite relevant and influential.
Probably when they become clear about who to back.
I get lots of emails from Tea party Express, Tea Party Patriots, Americans for Prosperity. They’re working hard and I imagine as the elctions get closer they will be more visible to you.
They are now deeply involved in fighting against the Walker recall in Wisconsin.
The problem is, most tea party patriots have jobs, unless the shiftless layabouts camping it up out in our cities right now.
I’ve been hoping for massive TP rallies at the main media headquarters.
Unlike, not unless, sorry.
I assure you all that the TEA partieS are still around and active. Have you joined your local TP? Find one, go to the meetings and get involved by asking what you can do to help. Mine is very active in GOTV, education and many other efforts. They still do pop-up demonstrations as needed.
Not negativity. Evidence. I spoke at at Dayton rally that in 2009 drew over 8,000. This time, there were scarcely 100 people there.
We need an umbrella conservative group including the Tea Party, something like CPAC but without the vestiges of the tarnished old Republican Party.
The problem with C-PAC is that it is heavily beholden to sponsors, who help choose the speakers (i.e., Log Cabin Republicans) and it is easily “packed” by Mittbots or Paulistas.
I’m no expert and I’m not a TP spokesperson but I think the TP membership are currently getting ready for the holidays which they observe. I expect to see TP events after the first of the year and I think they’ll be bigger than the past.
I hope more real conservative groups realize that CPAC and other faux-conservative organizations have been playing them for a long time. Let’s declare our independence from RINOs. Another thing that I don’t like about C-PAC is that is smells of mid-east oil money.
The Tea Party has picked up the standard, but don't be fooled: it will eventually suffer from all the same problems if it gets big enough because that's what happens to organizations as they, well, organize. SOMEONE has to pay the bills and set schedules and eventually that someone is compromised---wittingly or unwittingly.
The shiftless layabouts are being organized by professional “community organizers” who get lots of money. Much of that money comes from our tax dollars which the Dems give to bogus “social justice groups”. These are the people that get out on the streets. Another source of their money come from large endowments such as the Soros fund, the Ford Foundation, the Rockefeller Foundation etc. These foundations and the NGOs that they fund are tax free so we end up making up the slack with our tax dollars.
We have to go after the left’s money supply in a methodical manner.
