Not a scandal, really - But; democrat Congressman John Jenrette had sex with his wife, Rita Jenrette, behind a pillar on the steps of the Capitol Building during a break in a late night session of Congress. The parody musical Capitol Steps took their name from this highly publicized (at the time) incident.

Then there's democrat congressman Charlie Wilson. He was a fun loving guy involved in more than one scandal, but remained single until late in his life.

Speaking of a well publicized tryst in a Las Vegas hot tub that was investigated by congress, Wilson said:
" The girls had cocaine, and the music was loud. It was total happiness. And both of them had ten long, red fingernails with an endless supply of beautiful white powder.... The feds spent a million bucks trying to figure out whether, when those fingernails passed under my nose, did I inhale or exhale, and I ain't telling."
