What happened to that Palin was McCain! She did her best for that pathetic Bozo and look what it got her. That Palin is still alive and well and out from under McCain’s shadow.
Actually I think it's just the opposite. They know darned well she is no idiot, and that's why they are terrified of her. Rush has said it many many time - the left will tell us who they fear.
Is this the same old group with a few new trolls?
BTW, I would like to see Obama introduced to his new roommate at Leavenworth...I think that's coming soon.
I honestly don't think so. But I have seen a few others say that. I'm wondering if it has something to do with each individuals hearing. There are certain tones that some people don't like. Parakeets prefer female voices. But children respond to male voices faster. lol I wonder if it's as simple as some people like lower tones better.
It's not hard to understand at all.
Cheers!
Nothing wrong with that...every good singer gets one. It's just that the Sarah cult can't stand any criticism of her.
I think you are 51 cards short of a full deck, and sound more and more like a Democrat every post.
“What happened to that Palin was McCain! She did her best for that pathetic Bozo and look what it got her. That Palin is still alive and well and out from under McCains shadow.”
It’s not just McCain. She became a media celebrity and forgot her roots as a practical hard-working problem solver. It’s not as exciting and doesn’t make her any $$$ but it is what this country is really looking for.
Except for those who understand why she left and that she was putting the welfare of the people of Alaska first. Also, she would not have been able to come to the lower 48 and help us take back the House otherwise. Those who fear and/or hate her will use her resignation in an attempt to tear her down, but most thinking, fair-minded people (and I realize not everyone is, even here on FR) will understand exactly why she did what she did and it will not have much impact in the long run.
He sure is, and guess who his candidate is?
Governor Sarah Palins Accomplishments that garnered her a whopping 92% approval rating:
Energy Independence, Development, and Environmental Stewardship
*Governor Palins cornerstone accomplishment is AGIA (Alaska Gasline Inducement Act). During the Palin administration, TransCanada and Exxon formed an alliance to build a natural gas pipeline from Alaska to the Lower 48. Under Governor Palins governance, the project was expanded and revised from what previous governors had proposed with an open policy process for the Alaskan people. More progress was made on this effort than in the previous 30 years. This is the largest private sector infrastructure project in North American history and helps put us on the path to energy independence.
*Governor Palins administration opened up drilling for oil and natural gas at Pt. Thompson for the first time in decades.
*Governor Palin created the Alaskas Petroleum Integrity Office to oversee all aspects of energy development and to make sure oilfield equipment was safe to operate and a Climate Change Subcabinet to comprehensively and honestly evaluate climate change.
Fiscal Conservatism
*Governor Palin reduced earmark requests for the state of Alaska by 80% during her administration, requesting only earmarks that would benefit the country as a whole.
* Governor Palin reduced spending in her budget for Fiscal Year 2010 by more than one billion dollars from the previous governors Fiscal Year 2007 budget, a 9.5% real reduction in spending. Her FY2010 budget was $10.57 billion compared to Governor Murkowskis FY2007 budget of nearly $11.7 billion. At the same time, she fulfilled her campaign promise to forward fund education, allowing districts greater flexibility and predictability in their planning.
*Governor Palin opposed much of the “stimulus”, wanting only to accept 55% of the money allocated to Alaska, specifically only dollars dedicated to infrastructure [projects. Although the Alaskan legislature ultimately overturned her veto, she stood firm on her commitment to help Alaska to become more self-sufficient while not adding to not add to the skyrocketing national debt.
* Governor Palin invested $5 billion in state savings.
Walking the Walk on Fiscal Responsibility
*Governor Palin sold the private jet purchased by the previous governor. She state it was an unnecessary financial burden on the state and was unable to land on many of the states landing strips.
* To cut costs that would be incurred by continuing to use a personal driver like previous governors, the governor drove herself from Wasilla to her office in Anchorage. She also dismissed the governors personal chef stationed in Juneau, Alaskas capital.
* Governor Palin accepted less state per diem for herself and her family than her predecessors even though she had a larger family.
10th Amendment Advocacy/Promotion of State Constitution
*Showing that she is a strong supporter of the 10th amendment, Governor Palin advocated for the sovereignty of the state of Alaska.
*Governor Palins administration sued the federal government for placing the polar bear on the endangered species list, as this restriction affected energy development which would increase energy costs.

National Defense/Veterans
*Governor Palin supported ground-based missile defense Ft Greely and other Alaskan Bases around to protect America from Americas enemies. She criticized the Obama administration for cuts that they made to this national defense system.
*Governor Palin, with Senators Murkowski and Begich, fought for retirement benefits from the federal government that were due to the Alaska Territorial Guard members who fought during World War II. These benefits were eventually rewarded to these veterans by the federal government.

Sanctity and Dignity of All Life
* Governor Palin strongly supported both parental consent and parental notification legislation.
*Governor Palin increased educational funding for special needs children.
*Governor Palin implemented the Senior Benefits Program to support low income seniors.
Positions Held while Governor
* Chairman of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission.
*Vice Chair of the National Governors Association Natural Resource Committee.
* She served as chair of the Alaska Conservation Commission, which regulates Alaskas most valuable non-renewable resources: oil and gas. She was elected by her peers to serve as president of the Alaska Conference of Mayors. In this role, she worked with local, state and federal officials to promote solutions to the needs of Alaskas communities.
She exposed legal violations and conflicts of interest of Alaska Republican leaders, including the former state Attorney General and the State GOP Chairman (who was also an Oil & Gas Commissioner), who was doing work for the party on public time and supplying a lobbyist with a sensitive e-mail. Several went to jail.

Sarah Palin was Commander of the Alaska National Guard. Alaska is the first line of defense in our missile interceptor defense system. The 49th Missile Defense Battalion of the Alaska National Guard is the first line of defense unit that protects the entire nation from ballistic missile attacks. Its on permanent active duty, unlike other Guard units in the United States. As governor of Alaska, Palin was briefed on highly classified military issues, homeland security, and counterterrorism daily.
Governor Palin was the commander in chief of the Alaska State Defense Force (ASDF), a federally recognized militia incorporated into Homeland Security’s counterterrorism plans.
I think the problem is that Palin gets such unfair criticism using partial info and lib talking points. When I have posted a few of her accomplishments as Governor, something the MSM has hidden, posters are surprised. All anyone knows is what the libs have said.
Then to have other conservatives come along and lambaste her with incorrect info is rather galling.
People will vote for Perry or even Romney but for Sarah folks will give up their time, talent, and treasure to get her elected. Sarah will have no problem exciting folk,s and getting them to work for her and get folks to the polls. I think McCain got 59 million folks to vote for him I would guess Sarah could approach about 70 million and win a couple unexpected states because she actually tried.
Dude....
Let’s talk your boy....do you know what is a main negative for him?
He drop’s his g’s sad huh that people would consider that a negative eh? Plus he is showing extreme weakness now in the latest polling data.
Now you know what else. He had two weeks of exposure and has two more weeks of serious vetting to go.
Do you want to make a wager on what his polling numbers are by the end of October?
Put your damn as idiocy on the line there my feathered socialist....let’s see if you actually warrant being called a rooster. My guess though is your pullet and even a hen one at that.
But I am no one's cult member.
Good lord! You think Palin hasnt built her way up and gone through the ringer already? The current crowd hasnt seen half the MSM critique that Palin has. Cynical my arse. Trust me I know the difference between cynicism and realism. Palin knows where shes been and has read The Art of War. My statement had no cynicism in it. Its how wars are won.
Anyone who would bend the truth to win does not deserve to win.
Even if Sarah wins...you lose.
There was a Guiliani thread a few years ago that I missed but heard it was heated and is called the mother of all zot threads. Glad I missed it. ;-)
God bless America!
Palin needs to show the country what she’s made of and participate in the debates. This is her chance to respond to questions from conservatives, not just the MSM.
U know nothing...and the words I speak are always true.
Step up to the plate pullet...put up or shut up...!
You speak with a fork tongue...and very little knowledge a very dangerous cockbird you are!
I don’t know who Geoff is, but my candidates are, in order, Perry, Palin, Cain...
Even lurkers know you are nothing.
You mean those three ring circuses, complete with dancing bears and a clown car?
They're already receding down the memory hole.
Are you saying shes qualified to be President but not qualified to handle her own campaign?
However not lost on me is the fact that you can't even stand by your Man, I truly don't want you standing with Sarah, you my feathered socialist defines that which we are all trying to suppress...
One last time....are you willing to bet?
Put since u posted it, I think there's still a piece in the fridge...lol
I hope we clean out the Alinsky marxists in 2012 too. We HAVE to!
Teddy Roosevelt was the Ross Perot of his day. His greatest accomplishment was handing the election victory to the weakest, most foolish president in our history.
All of TR’s battles were imaginary, much like the current GOP primary ‘debates.’ Powderpuff derbies at most.
There will be no contest until the candidate officially enters the race. Then the Mediots will have a real quandry on their hands.
I don't remember him being popular...he wasn't among the people I knew.
Cheers!
Agreed. I think she needs to go into the belly of the beast to rehab her image.... debates, tough interviews, the whole gamut to retrieve her image.
I have been seeing a pattern here for a while. The Texas Perry supporters are so loony where he is concerned and lie and are mean and nasty to both Bachmann and Palin supporters. The Texas non Perry supporters are just the Opposite, really salt of the earth great people, and are the reason that I tell people that dislike Texans because of Perry supporters to please not judge all Texans by a few over the top “how bout them Cowboys” mentality.
This is not a football game, this is our very survival, and we do not need someone that is for Sale, and always has been. We have that now in DC.
>> “I think Rick Perry is the man to kick Obama’s butt.” <<
.
Unlikely, but then what? Bill Clinton redux?
That would be the most optimistic outlook on a Perry regime.
I agree...as always spot on with your thoughts!
I despise them actually....but nothing a shot in the confessional would not cure....lol!
Pretty good!
(but not quite perfect)
I don’t pretend to support her. She’s not a good candidate, too many negatives for the general election. if she wants to rehab, she needs a lot if work and so far is not doing it. I don’t have PDS. I couldn’t cate less, however.
I’ve never met a Dem that thought she had a brain. They think most conservatives are only a generation out of the caves.
Perry has a great reputation among his fellow Republican Governors, even Palin gushed about him until she decided to imply he was for sale. Nikki Haley, Bobby Jindal, John Kasich and many other Republican Governors like and will endorse him and have nothing but great things to say about him.
By Palin playing her game, she has begin to put herself on the outs with the very party she purposes to want to run for office from.
Yer my favorite parody poster ! Well said!!
Reagan was clearly the weakest opponent when measured against Carter (http://www.uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=115543.0). This poll and others like it convinced Carter that Reagan would be the easiest opponent to beat. You seem to be saying that presidential polls more than a year before the actual election are unmovable and we should just nominate the person that matches up the best in the early going, which is Romney if you believe the polls. I do not. Reagan was behind by 29 points one year before the election. According to your logic he should not have been our nominee. Your premise doesn’t hold up and we can do better than Romney. Whether that is Palin or another true conservative, I am tired of having to vote for loser establishment RINO’S like Romney, McCain, Dole, Bush Sr., Ford, and Nixon. We are heading toward the abyss at a hundred miles an hour with Obama. Changing to Romney or some other liberal Republican leaves us going toward the abyss at a slightly slower pace, but we are still headed for disaster. We need someone who has a history of changing the system; someone who has a history of exposing corruption, even if it is found in their own party; someone that leads from a desire to see their country do well, instead of someone who is “the next in line”.
She has made all the right enemies while she did her job, and she is making more enemies by sending signals that she will get rid of the Pay to play corruption in Washington.
Why is i that the elected officials do not even live in the State they Represent. Look at Landrieu from LA, she is the tip of the iceberg. They should enact a law that states that Senators and Representatives should have to live in Dorms near the Capitol. No exceptions. Just get them the hell out of Washington when they have voted. You can do almost everything by Computer and Video now, they do not need to be there sucking up to K and J st, it is a sickness.
If they have the info, don't you think the rats have even more? Remember he was a longtime Democrat in a state with no ethics rules, and new Legislation that makes it harder to make crooked Politicians pay for their crimes.
Most all of us used to be Democrats, but we were almost always were very conservative. We did not Support Carter and Gore, and we did not think Liberal ideas were the way to go.
Now in order for Palin to be President her supporters will try to destroy Perry, the Lt.Governor and the Texas Speaker?
You people have lost all sense of decorum and I have no idea how you plan to woo Perry supporters to your side. Then again you aren't trying, you doing it the Chicago way and you represent your candidate, destroy to build your 10 percenter up. That never works. Remember who coined the term "voodoo economics" or who brought up "Willie Horton" first? They were the losers of their primaries but the media carried the smears into the eventual winners general election campaign.
