Moffet did not close; it changed from a NAS to a Federal Airfield administered by NASA and still has DoD traffic in addition to NASA, CG and National Guard traffic. Transport aircraft that handle military/NASA cargo shipments from Lockheed also use Moffet Field.

Vendome needs to get back on his meds or tune into the Scifi channel instead!!

You’re right in a way, and so am I. I should have said Moffett closed the Navy base, of course it was repurposed, but not as a Navy base anymore.
