Explanation to Blue Anomaly?

Does anyone know, or have heard an explanation, for this blue anomaly?
I’m no expert, but I have never seen anything like this in a space photo before. It has a very organic look to it.

I've never seen one of these sites before, but fooling around with shrinking and expanding ... the entire universe is God's palette .... God wants to talk to you ... be still ... and listen.

Many deep space images are false color or spectral. I suspect this is a spectral image of a nebula or gas cloud.

The fact that its not labeled makes me think its a camera anomaly. It is in Orion and there is a nebula in Orion but I don’t think that’s in the right spot.
Cool site in any case.

Just east of the Orion Belt. Probably a young star backlighting nebulosity... blue is a distortion because of the 3-color system of color photography...

It may very well be, since this image would have been taken from a high-powered and long-looking scope... something very small on the lens could be magnified.

It doesn’t appear in the H-Alpha or Infra-red sky surveys, or in the astro-photo data either. Given the fact that it’s a pure blue color, I would actually say it’s a speck of dust that got caught on a filter or the lens during the sky survey.
