A 46-year-old woman pleaded guilty Monday to hiding a stolen mink coat in her underwear.

Stephanie Moreland was arrested New Year’s Eve by Bloomington Police after the Alaskan Fur Company reported a short mink coat was stolen by a woman who had been in the store and acting suspiciously.

Moreland pleaded guilty to one count of felony theft of property. Police say she hid the mink coat in her underwear for three days while being questioned by police in jail.

The coat was valued at $6,500.

Yeah, I’ll bet that they can’t even give it to someone at a homeless shelter...

Open season on this one...

If it was stolen, I guess the carpet didn't match the drapes.

Cheers!

First - how does one even hide a COAT inside their underwear? I’m scared to ask what size underwear this lady wears!?!
Second - if she was held by police for more than 24 hours she had to have been charged during those three days, and I’m assuming she was SEARCHED and given “jail clothes” at that time? If not, she’s dealing with some very stupid police officers — and may have grounds for filing a suit (seeing that they held her for 3 days and all...).

Anyway, I guess I’ll read through the comments because this doesn’t make ANY sense at all! LOL

I heard that she finally slipped up on the third day. While being monitored in the bathroom, one of the less than tactful women guards said “That's a pretty large beaver”.

The suspect replied “Oh - it's mink actually”.

The jig was up when the Mink started to smell like Halibut.

Insert rim shot here.

Allow me to apologize in advance for that joke.

Ditto...Ditto

Elderly couple driving down the road and he runs over a skunk.
She gives him enough ‘what for’ so he stops and she goes back to tend to it.
She picked it up and said “It is still alive - take me to the Vet”. Still mumbling he takes off and she notices the skunk was twitching (still) and she stuck it between her legs. She said “oh, the smell is terrible” he said “Don’t worry, he will get used to it, I did”.

Only $120? Why does it have a red dot on it? And what's that smell?
