Is McCain Laying Out A False Choice That We Must Choose Either Obama's War Policy Or Isolationism?

It seems as if that is the case, given that John McCain has chastised those GOP presidential candidates who wonder how Libya posed a threat to the U.S., how Obama has grounds for claiming that the U.S. isn't even at war with Libya or how he can claim - through Harold Koh and Jay Carney - that "the limited nature of this particular mission is not the kind of hostilities envisioned by the War Powers Resolution."

Obama is claiming that since U.S. troops are supposedly at little risk in this particular mission and that we have no boots on the ground that the WPA 90 day rule does not apply, thus effectively rendering the WPA null and void - but at the cost of redefining what constitutes "hostilities" - and thus what constitutes warfare.

In essence, Obama is saying that airfields, defense systems, compounds and people can be bombed by missiles from the air or from out at sea, but as long as there are no boots on the ground the WPA 90 day rule is null and void. The WPA is unconstitutional, but Obama should have asked Congress to scuttle it beforehand, not try to worm his way out of it after the fact.

And John McCain should know better.

The false choice was between Juan and Zer0.

Dear John: Please remove your lips from Obamas’ ass before engaging mouth.

Perhaps McCain should be arguing in favor of something in between the two?

I'll take "isolationism" over Obama's foreign policy any day. Seriously. Better to be an island unto ourselves than to genuflect and sell ourselves to the enemies of Western culture.

The more I see and hear McLame, I think he’s becoming senile; anyone else agree?

Of course. Just like we either go with his amnesty plan or "deport 11 million undocumented workers."

He is a real one-trick pony.

In other words, he prefers interventionism to isolationism.

His state is burning because of fires set by illegal aliens and he is attacking his own party because of Libya. Maybe Megham is the one in charge.

Exactly. That was no choice, with J. McCain throwing the election. No wonder there were shouts of “Manchurian Candidate.” It sure did not take long for McCain to start bashing Republican candidates.

Well ya. I thought he was before the 2008 election.

Sen. McCain specializes in “fuzzy logic”.

Someone needs to pick McCain up and use him for a pole
vault. He is desperately stirring up trouble because at heart he has always been a democrat, along with the lefty women of his household. His sinility that you suspect has him in a liberal reality, thinking it’s his duty as a democrat to marginalize Republicans.

When McCain proposes a tax bill to pay for wars, he will be credible. It’s the deficit, stupid.

McCain should have not been running vs Obama in the 2008 Presidential ticket. He sounds more like he should have been his vice presidential running mate.Biden better watch out he is not replaced by McCain on 2012 ticket.
