Two NYPD Cops With History of Hooker Trouble Being Eyed in Long Island Killings
Fox/NY Post ^ | May 15, 2011

Two NYPD cops are being eyed in the Long Island serial slayings after investigators learned they got into trouble for hiring prostitutes while working for the department, according to sources familiar with the probe.

One cop was forced out of the job in the 1990s when his supervisors learned he spent time pursuing hookers and paying street walkers and down-and-out women for sex while he was supposed to be on patrol.

An internal investigation led to his resigning under pressure, one source said.

The other officer still works for the NYPD but was stripped of his gun and badge years ago because he allegedly assaulted a prostitute and got arrested during a sting operation.

The woman complained to police supervisors about the officer but no criminal charges were filed and an internal probe went nowhere, sources said.

I wonder if they think they worked together or separately? If they did do it (and to be fair this is still speculation) then the NYPD would certainly have a political black-eye as a result.

This could explain why several killers were leaving bodies in roughly the same area.

This is really, really creepy.

They already ruined that doctor's life with idle speculation. If this isn't a calculated ruse to flush someone out, they should stfu.

Did any government hack pay a price for what they did to Richard Jewell?

“I wonder if they think they worked together or separately?”

They haven’t said yet whether there’s any relationship between the 2 cops

There has to be more of a back-story here.

I remember something about suspecting two separate individuals did the crimes. However, the burial site is the same. Strange, huh?

Are they following the evidence or leading the evidence?

maybe the murders were a competition between the two killers

I don't know who let out information about a doctor but I heard the cop theory two months ago (and not from the newspapers).

The report was the fleeing prostitute, who they still haven't found was yelling "They are trying to kill me". Which could be why they are focusing on more than one killer.

“... a competition between the two killers”

Gosh, anything is possible. I find it odd that it is one “dumping” site. I wonder statistically how improbable that is?

Probably don’t want to know.

The usual total slander of the NYPD by the the NY Post.

There is not the slightest evidence that NY police officers are the serial killers.

The killer(s) used CraigsList and purchased 7-11 type cellphones. Wow, now that’s real evidence. This is part of the endless character assassination of police by the Post. Not one word of apology when this lying headline is proven wrong.

I like how the headline is "Hooker Trouble".

One guy was doing this on taxpayer time, so his violation was a two-fer.

The other had one assault beef that was dropped?

Yes, I see a good case for innocence here also.

“How many of these type of officers does NYPD have”? Probably hundreds . Most of them retire with full bennies and union protection so of course cannot be fired . When Bloomberg tried to clear out the dead wood so they could bring in fresh troops , he ran into the blue wall.

Well, cops know the areas that are patrolled regularly, so it would be logical that a cop could hide a stiff there.
