Funny headline, but the buzz on this is that it’s a great flick. I really admire Foster for standing by her friend Mel Gibson when the publicity got terrible for him.
I’m sure that many of the gents here on FR are also “pro-beaver”...

It doesn’t surprise me a bit that Jodie Foster loves a Li’l Beaver.
The movie might be good. Its just too bad what Mel did to his life. There aren’t too many people like Foster that would stand up for someone like Mel or give him a second chance.

I never saw the movie, but the comment is based on the fact that HollyWeird does sell movie tickets largely on sex. That is what the reference was about.
I only vaguely remember something about this particular actress being a student in good standing at an Ivy league college. Or, perhaps it was another one. In any case, just an image on a screen as far as I can see.
The NYC branch of my family has a black sheep in the past - a script writer in Hollywood. It was a long time ago, but not something we talked about much. “Theatre people” and all that, you know.
This past year she and her daughter ( or son ? ) were on the field for a half time show during a bowl game . They surprised her by bringing out her husband who is serving in Aphganistan . She seemed very happy to see him .
Thank goodness they didn’t cast Helen Thomas!
Cool. How long does it take to do that stuff or do you have some sort of program that does it?
How many people would look as bad as, or worse than, Mel if their private phone conversations were sold to internet gossip sites, and every alleged detail discussed on the "evening news?"

I don’t know , but this kid was about 8-10 years old and was very happy to see Dad .
