Well I’m happy to read that he wasn’t killed. The title implies otherwise (and it’s not the true title at the link). Brave little boy!

“a dog that escaped from a nearby business.”

Hope they have a good lawyer on retainer.

I thought that at the title too! Still the sacrifice of self is the greatest love anyone can have.

Classic Palm Beach (com)Post reporting. That headline is modest for those imbeciles.

Sounds like a brave young man acted in a way to protect others.

Was it a herd of feral Chihuahuas that attacked this courageous boy?

He is a brave little boy. We live close to a busy road and our neighbors dogs were out. The little girl, my youngest son and my 8 year old were trying to round them up when the dogs rand to and crossed the road. The little girl and my youngest were going to chase after them when my 8 year old put a stop to the nonsense and wouldn’t let them get near that road. I am chilled thinking about it, and proud of the little guy. The dogs were rounded up and everyone is ok, but I am still horrified at the thought of the kids getting in the road.

Your point about the chihuahuas to me says that you think the dog is likely a pit bull, and I agree. The story doesn’t say, but like terrorist attacks world wide and the immediate assumption that it is a muslim involved, pit bulls are usually the dog involved in maulings. Safe assumptions.

The three breeds that seem to maul the most are Pitbulls, Rottweilers, and Dobies.

I agree.
I’ve been wondering where all the real men went. I mean that we had a generation of real men in WWII that doesn’t seem to be replicated in our current society. Maybe this little guy, this little hero will grow up to be one of those men.

He’s in my prayers.

“True courage is not measured by the size of the act, but by the size of the heart” (this sentence was on a flag draped on a building by Ground Zero)

By that this boy has the heart the size of the great warrior heroes of old.
