MIT researcher Deb Roy wanted to understand how his infant son learned language -- so he wired up his house with videocameras to catch every moment (with exceptions) of his son's life, then parsed 90,000 hours of home video to watch "gaaaa" slowly turn into "water." Astonishing, data-rich research with deep implications for how we learn.
Deb Roy talks about obama's State of the Union and how they monitored social reaction using this technology.
They are monitoring social dynamics - for science, commerce and government, says Deb Roy.
Skinner’s daughter committed suicide. I hope this child is stronger than that. I could never use my own children as a subject for experimentation.
pfffft glorp
If you are able to watch the whole presentation, you will be “freaked”, I think, to find out they are doing this to all of us. The house is just a little bigger.
Here is Deb Roy commenting and inferring that his technology is “can” used by a political campaign. Geeeee, I wonder who?

It’s not like he’s pokin’ the kid with electrodes. He set up a bunch of cameras. I find this fascinating.
Did you see the whole 20 minutes? I’m spooked by what they’re doing as an offshoot. That’s more the reason why I posted this.
Just a little nitpicky thing here, but your link does not lead to “Youtube”, it leads to www.ted.com, but you’ve got it labeled as Youtube. That is a bit of a faux pas in the cyber world.
I know, it’s strange - I put ted.com in and it came up youtube. I’m not sure how to correct that.
LOL! right!
