Might be a brute-force way to handle a big problem. I’m not a big fan of the idea...but it could work if it meant a full, 100%, permanent abolishment of the death tax and throw the capital gains tax along for the ride.
Your comments are matching what a lot of people are feeling.
I wasn’t sure I articulated it right, but thanks!
Think of it like this. We have a house. It’s been battered pretty bad. With another 4 years of Obama it might fall down entirely.
Trump will fix the foundation, fix the roof, keep us dry and get the house rebuilt.
Now, we might not like the colors he chooses or the fixtures he installs, but the house will stand strong and far better than we would expect.
Then once he’s done we can hire the guy to paint it the right colors and install the right fixtures.
Very good interview on BOR. People do have changes. I do not know yet about Trump but I like what he says and I can tell it is heartfelt! He talked about the muslim hate for us, wow!
“In a way, Trump and Palin have the same appeal. Neither of them are beholden to anyone, and both are outsiders.”
Correcto Mundo! Both are non-Soros funded, national political people.
GOP corrupt, elite-controlled leadership are afraid of them both!
BOR is a bought and controlled hack, who lies without conscience. IMHO
I just don’t think social conservate issues are going to be seen as priority this time. It would be preferred but they want someone who knows economics/ business. I say that but I doubt Trump will go through until the end. He gets bored or wants to be on TV a lot so he runs for things but I doubt he will stay. If he does he may have a chance. Depends on his foreign policy knowkedge.
we could very well see a Trump and Palin ticket as long as Trump gets to be the President.
Trump will only run for President if he can figure out a way to make money by doing it. Be assured that he has no intention of spending hundreds of millions of his own dollars to run for president.
I agree. I would be surprised if he did.
Trump contributed to McCain’s presidency. Maybe he was for Hillary before the Republicans had their candidate. Notice I said their - not MINE.
I’m going to say this, then run for cover. LOL If we can’t get a solid conservative in the race, then I’ll probably support the Trumpster. He is interesting, and since he’s from NY, is it possible that he could carry his home state in the election? That’s what? 55 electoral votes? He has some good ideas, and although not perfect, heck, none of them are - he generates excitement. Except for that hair do, of course.
He doesn’t need the money - the president doesn’t make that much anyway. He doesn’t need the perks or glitter, he has that already. So, what’s his motive? Maybe he is losing ground in his businesses because of the Chinese. I don’t have the answers, but, if he’s sincere, then he has as much right to throw his hat in the ring as anyone else.
He also has moxie, which is sadly missing from most of the milquetoast candidates who are now running. I don’t want a rehash candidate this time around. We need someone who can get rid of zero and his regime. That’s the bottom line.
What do you mean solid conservative? He is pro-life, anti gay marriage, he is a business man who graduated from Whorton School of Economics and sent his children to the same school.. recognizes we have been too politically correct, thinks China is bleeding us dry and we are letting them, wants the borders controlled, now........ I don’t know what more you can ask of a candidate?
Lots of politicians have epiphanies right before they hit the campaign trail, then they get elected and fall back to their old ways. John McCain is a prime example.
Trump says he is pro-life. What pro-life organizations has he supported? He says he is not for same sex marriage. What has he done in support of DOMA?
That interview is 3 years old, but he has not done or said anything to indicate in those 3 years that he had this epiphany until now. I’m cautious and suspicious.
I do not have a candidate I am backing at this point, so I am not being a contrarian to further some other candidate. I really just do not trust him in light of his past history.
Until February 2011 Trump called himself “pro-choice”. He supports the assault weapons ban. He supports amnesty for certain illegals, on a case by case basis. And Trump supports prosecuting hate crimes against gays. He also has multiple bankruptcies and has destroyed many companies and the lives of many people along the way to a personal fortune worth billions of dollars. In 2008 his first choice for potus was, Hillary!
Trump is no conservative. He's a liberal.
I totally agree.
I know all of this, however, I’m squeamish about his contributions to Chuck Schumer, Anthony Weiner, Rahm Emanuel, and the list goes on to the libs he has supported. These are things which make me a little leery of him.
Trump is very good on oil and drilling——>>>>> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NEb0NP35W8
I’ve given that some thought and I take into consideration he does business in NYC and NYState and to get anything done there you HAVE to grease the right hands. I think this is why Schumer gets so much money from Wall street, and why he is such an arrogant POS....... you have to be pretty clever to be a Republican and get anything accomplished on the scale of a Trump in NY, NJ or IL... I won’t settle on anyone until the debates start up, but I am enjoying the show right now.
