I caught a bit of one episode.

The thing I noted was their continual references to Erich von Daniken. I read some of his books in the 60s and 70s. The one thing I noticed was von Daniken never offered any facts but relied heavily on questions:

Could aliens have moved the stones to Easter Island?

Could aliens have built Stonehenge?

Did aliens actually dig the Grand Canyon?

Were aliens responsible for stealing the atmosphere from the moon?

The History Channel’s Ancient Aliens used the same approach — raising similar questions without offering much in the away of evidence.

I read von Daniken’s stuff when I was a teen.

I thought this sounded a lot like it.

Interesting take but not very plausible. Basically, it’s just another attack on religion and Christianity.

Anything from the left to discredit it.
