I received a special request from Brad's Gramma.
A tiny baby is in need of our prayers.
Baby Florence is having surgery tomorrow morning.
Please hold her close, Father, as you guide her surgeons. We ask in Jesus' Name. Amen.

So you’re getting snow, too? :) Good job, yorkie! It’s really pretty easy if you ‘save’ the code and just remember to replace your ‘new’ graphic with this angel.....and you HAVE to include the width and height or your results won’t be nearly as pretty. :)

Thats very good news, Lori! Doesn't it make us mad when we get infected with these awful things. I almost go crazy. I asked my computer son one day "why was my computer in such good shape at about 10 years old." He said "because you've had someone to clean it up and keep it in the good shape its in." He was right.
He seems to think I might like an Ipad or Ipod....I forget which is the little instrument and the bigger one. He said I would never touch my big computer again! The price will come down on those in the very near future, don't you guess! I thought it was so neat when I went to the gastroenteroligist...there he sat with one of those Ipads (whichever it is) on his lap, like a tablet. He had my last colonoscopy results right there in front of him that he shared with me.
There it was...a picture of my "innards"(LOL) when he was discussing the new colonoscopy I would be having in two weeks from that date. Isn't it wonderful what they can do these days? It amazes me sometimes! Well, I've jabbered enough for an evening.....LOL!
I can't get in the Christmas spirit yet. Think its because I dread what has to be done.

It’s cool here, not to cold. Went to the ortho doc today, tendinitis in shoulder...PRAISE GOD no tears, no arthritis.
Then we spent the rest of the day dealing with a water pipe burst that happened last night after supper...it only was on about 25 mins before I found it. But flooded the dinning room, kitchen, and the ceiling in the kitchen was dripping water this morning (water tank is in the atic). We got most of the water sucked out of the carpet in the dinning room and have fans on it...have to call a guy to come in and fix the ceiling though. Hubby fixed the broken pipes today.

Do you know who first showed me ‘falling snow’ and told me how he did it? Tonkin! Many years ago on the Canteen he posted it and I [being new to gifs] was fascinated.
Now I have a variety of them and do table posts with the transparent snow over scenes too.

That was just terrible, Gail. What a mess you all had! Glad you all were not as cold as we are here. I think I saw where you said it wasn’t too cold. It was 22 this morning and warmed up to 32 later....still felt bitter out there!
By the way, your insurance would take care a lot of those expenses for you. My brother had that to happen a few years ago in Georgia. They got new carpet, plus people to come in and clean the mess. It leaked down into the den and ruined the furniture and they had that replaced. Their insurance was mighty good during that mishap.

Evenin' Amy.
Thought I'd start out the month of December with a pic from days gone by (as you can see by the shorts, the photo was in much warmer temperatures 8^)
It's a sign I made a few years ago to honor our troops. It's been displayed in Fresno and up here in Modesto.
It's become a bit tattered and torn and I need to make a replacement and display it in front of our house.

Support Our Troops!

Times Of Refreshing
December 2, 2010
What do you find most refreshing? A cold drink on a hot day? An afternoon nap? Listening to praise and worship music?
The biblical theme of refreshing has a variety of physical and spiritual meanings. In Scripture we read of refreshment by resting on the Sabbath (Ex. 23:12), with cool water after physical activity (Judg. 15:18-19), by soothing music (1 Sam. 16:23), and with encouraging fellowship (2 Tim. 1:16).
The apostle Peter describes a time of spiritual refreshment that took place on the Day of Pentecost. He exhorted his listeners to repent and respond to the gospel that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord (Acts 3:19). The apostles statement was especially meaningful to the Jewish audience with its reference to the millennium when Messiah would rule. But the good news of spiritual life would also be extended to the Gentiles (Acts 10).
Even now as believers we can experience a time of refreshing by quieting our hearts in a devotional time of prayer and Bible reading. When we spend time alone with the Lord, we can experience His peace and joy which renew us in spirit. Arent you thankful for these daily times of spiritual refreshment?
A Prayer: Lord, I need my spirit refreshed and
renewed today. Speak to me through Your Word that I
might hear Your heart, and help me to share my heart
with You in prayer. Amen.
When we draw near to God, our minds are refreshed and our strength is renewed.
Read: Acts 3:17-26
Repent . . . , so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.
Acts 3:19

It was 54 yesterday, about the same today. That is usual for us this time of the year, maybe a tad colder, but not much..we drop down into the low 30’s at night.
OLD age got the pipes, not the cold.
We’ve already called the ins company and yes it is covered. Calling a contractor today for estimates. Hubby is quite handy with small plumbing problems and got that fixed..a valve went bad under the sink, then on the hot water tank all at the same time. For safety sake he replaced the cold water one too. Damage is really limited to the wet carpet and ceiling since the leaks were caught quick. We have a tiled kitchen, so no floor damage there. Even the cabinets weren’t damaged...poo, I need them redone they are 45 yrs old. LOL.
We quickly moved the dinning set out of the dinning room before the water got to it...hutch is the biggest worry as we can’t move it without emptying it totally out and it still would be hard to move.
Took the shop vac to the carpet along with the carpet shampooer and got the worst of the water up. Fans on and under the carpet the past 2 days, surface is now fairly dry, pad is still damp. If the carpet has to go in the dinning room I’d SMILE and put a good laminate in it’s place.
Just thankful it didn’t get into the den...45 year old hard wood flooring there.

Gail,
My sister in Oakridge Oregon called me last night and said when they arrived home, ( been in Korea for 5 months)...their kitchen was flooded by a broken pipe. They did the same.. wet vaccumed and hopefully no damage. Theirs was on hardwood floors.
Today will tell the story. Won’t your carpet need to come up?
Just what you need at Christmas!
