It's like Orrin Hatch being best buds with Ted Kennedy. It was disgusting that Orrin gave Ted's eulogy.
It was the 2000 election recount that absolutely did it for me! Democrats **are** communists! I will NOT be friends with a Democrat. They are either too stupid or too evil to be a friend.
I don’t remember Bush fondly other than Roberts, Alito (Who was forced upon him), and the immediate aftermath of 9/11.
...and if anyone don’t see the rats attaching themselves to the dreaded Dubya for political gain and cover.....then their not paying attention. They need George W Bush for both pointing AND an example how to “WORK” together. Go figure.
I guess this is w playing “checkers” again?
sorry - I am sick of his games and want him to go away and stay there along with Clinton, and all the rest of these globalist shills for the international bankers.
See where the problem is.... Did you forget all the crap that Clinton got away with??? I understand what your saying, but calling someone like Clinton a friend.... no way. You can be respectful, but STRONGLY disagree. Calling him a friend is very disturbing.
If you read his book, Bush goes to great lengths to make the case to historians that he was really a “compassionate conservative” (i.e., a liberal) all along.
See his remarks on his relentless push for amnesty with Arlen Specter, his delight in working with Ted Kennedy on No Child Left Behind, his swelling pride in the prescription drug entitlement, the whole chapter he devotes to Aids in Africa, the defense of the TARP bailout of Wall Street.
The fact is, Bush set out to govern as a liberal president, but his domestic agenda was interrupted by the 9/11 attacks, something beyond his control. This is the guy who clutched a snake like David Frum to his chest.
Don’t be fooled.
Laura Bush was for gay marriage and abortion:

I did watch it but I missed that.
Well said...
Have any of the Bush haters on this thread yet read Decision Points? I seriously doubt it.
Read it and then come back and tell us what kind of man President Bush is.
Flame away!
I’m sick of George Bush prancing around these last two weeks giggling, smirking, laughing, etc.
He is one of the main reasons for Obama in the first place!
You certainly have alot to say this morning. Did you have a bad night?
I do business with a lot of "Professionals" and am "forced" to never say anything negative about any of them. It's an ethics thing.
He was - I tell you, he was incredibly gracious to Kathleen Willey, Juanita Broaddrick, and Paula Jones too.
And there's - I tell you, there is something incredibly gracious about avoiding the consequences of intimidation of witnesses, obstruction of justice, sexual assault, rape, and perjury. And if somebody is powerful enought to get away with it - he ingratiates himself to...well...apparently to the Bushes.
The Bushes are nice people, and I'm sure they mean well, and you have to admire their flair for burying hatchets, but sometimes their gush gets ridiculous.
Clinton will always be remembered for choosing sides - for choosing to bomb christians and aid and abet moslems. You can’t make friends and buy peace with islam by bombing christians. The history of islam is nothing but the story of corrupt boyars and aristocrats being paid off to allow the moslems’ advance and usurpation of territory at the expense of the peasant christians. Ignorance of history is no excuse.
Did he include the part of calling the people against amnesty “vigilantes” or those his wife calling those against Harriet Meyers as being sexist?
The term, compassionate conservative has been abused by Washington to mean liberal. However, the way I view it was meant to mean “tough love”. In other words you empathize with them, but you stick to your principals. Thus, if someone is hurting, then you do not get any pleasure or don’t feel their pain. Too bad Washington ruined this word. I guess we should go back to just saying tough love?
It was not “gracious” to not defend himself. It HURT those who were doing their best to move conservatism forward. But..Hey! Maybe that **was** the very purpose of Bush's action. To frustrate conservatism and promote liberalism.
That’s a shame. I wouldn’t be in the same room with Clinton or his disgusting wife.
That’s taking “being a nice guy” too far.
Sometimes it's unethical not to say something negative.
