Yep, if only Mark Holtz was there to call that final out. When I first moved here, I spent many of a night listening to Holtz’s calls of the Rangers, even though they weren’t very good, he made it worthwhile, I was very saddened when he passed away. He was up there with the Vin Scullys and the Ernie Harwells IMHO.
As a Red Sox fan it was funny to hear the Rangers fans (and maybe some Yankees fans) chanting “Yankees Suck” tonight, and in this series, they did.
I think I can make a mint renting out some spare rooms..
Seriously though, I haven’t finished building my media room so I have been considering building a frame in front of my garage for my 110” projector screen and playing the series out side so we can have a big party.
Don’t forget: Dallas also hosted the NBA All-Star game this year as well. Anyone planning on making the trip, enjoy the game. The Ballpark in Arlington is a gem!
I must admit I watched the final out with a great deal of satisfaction. Not only did the Rangers punch their ticket to the World Series, they did it by beating the Yankees. Oh, so SWEET!

That’s the other great thing, it makes those sad sack Cowboys now an afterthought here.
For years the Rangers have played second fiddle to the Cowboys, but now with this new ownership, the Rangers will close that gap, they are going to be contenders for years.
Yup... no more Yankees on my TV screen 'til next year! ;-)

YAY!!! The Yankees are looking old and burnt out next to those energetic Rangers!!
