That almost sounds like a “battered spouse” rationalization: “I deserve to be hit because I did/didn’t do this/that”, etc. Given the liberal penchant for appeasement and apologetic stance towards the rest of the world, perhaps Liberalism really is a mental disorder: Stockholm Syndrome.
I think it’s a lot more insidious than the battered wife syndrome. Usually such wives manage to convince themselves he really loves them and is going to change. Liberals, however, secretly rejoice in the US taking periodic terror hits. Think of Jeremiah Wright positively reveling in America’s chickens coming home to roost. Ugly, sick stuff!
It all comes down, imho, to D’Sousa’s masterpiece book about how Obama’s mind works. In terms of NeoColonialism, the US *IS* the problem. We have only succeeded at the expense of poor countries. We are so deep in guilt and abusive trade practices, we DESERVE to suffer periodic terror attacks. It will bring us down a notch, and force us to evaluate our evil behavior.
And a person who thinks exactly that way is who we’ve got in the WH. Talk about mind-boggling. I pray he can be safely and peacefully removed before 2012. I just don’t know how much more of this guy we can take. The more we find out about him, the bigger a disaster we discover him to be.
